  • Annaprashan or Rice feeding ceremony is a South Indian Ritual in which when a new born baby turns 6 months in age then he/she is finally given solid food to eat. Before this ritual they only get mothers milk.
This ceremony generally happens in a temple and my niece’s annaprashan took place in Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple, Mayur Vihar, Delhi.
This temple in itself is a very beautiful place and one must visit it not specially for occasions but normally for darshan too.
    Hope you like the video.
