    At this point Voss is probably my favorite villain in the whole series, absolutely incredible performance (really the whole cast was stellar).

      I literally thought he was an existing character. He was written so well.

      Voss was a pretty fun villain! He could be calculating and vile but also have some humorous moments like Indy punching him while trying to punch Gantz, and Voss knowing Karate during the final battle!

    I'm glad to see how this game delivered a wonderful Indiana Jones adventure filled with the great action and fun humor we know from the original trilogy. I also appreciated the little Easter eggs to past Indiana Jones books, comics and movies along with how it bridges the gap between Raiders and Last Crusade. I wouldn't say no to seeing MachineGames do a sequel!

    I got so excited when they showed they were going to Ur, this series basically shaped my love of ancient histories and mysteries so for this plot was pretty cool lol

    I was kind o f expecting the Tower of Babel to fit into this when they headed for Ur.

      Considering all the other towers hidden inside pyramids in the game, it wouldn't have been surprising. I thought it was really cool too see the Ark though. Looking forward to the DLC, I am curious if Locus will be revealed to be Noah like I suspect he is (he's different to the other giants, seemingly immortal and not mutated).

    Voss is such a well made and fitting Indy bad guy, it's almost like the people making the game cared about the property they were working with.

    I knew to expect a wild ending. But I wasn't expecting Indy to fight a Nazi who knows karate. Out of context, that sounds like something you'd see in Kung Fury or Manborg.
    Also, I agree with Jesse that it was a great send-off for Tony Todd. Pretty touching, on top of being badass.
    As for what I'd want to see in another MachineGames Indiana Jones romp? I'd probably get Indy into a mystery involving either Aztec or Norse mythology, like maybe he tries to stop the Nazis from discovering the ruins of Asgard or something. Though if we dipped back into the Judeo-Christian well, what about searching for the Garden of Eden?

    • @jcbq01
      @jcbq01 8 днів тому +2

      Theres the real world search the nazis did for the hammer of thor. Which would fit the time peroid

    • @GmodPlusWoW
      @GmodPlusWoW 8 днів тому

      @@jcbq01 That makes it even more of a solid choice for a future MachineGames Indy adventure. But they probably have something else planned, assuming that they're going to be doing 2 or 3 more of them.
      On the one hand, I'm game for more MachineGames Indy, but on the other hand, I hope they get to do Wolfenstein III and/or that Quake game they wanted to do. It might seem like an either-or situation, but they'd probably be able to juggle their Indy games alongside other projects, considering that they now have a satellite studio in Sundsvall to compliment their main office in Uppsala.

    I think the villainess Annika Lund will be in the DLC - the game makes a point of her having survived (but lost her arm).
    As for a sequel, most have mentioned good ideas, but I kind of want them to either go back to India and fight the Imperial Japanese Army over sacred relics of the gods (so much fun stuff in their myths), or maybe do something with the Inca, or something cool with the Nommon - the mythical fish gods of North Africa.

  • @Rhaenday
    @Rhaenday 7 днів тому +1

    For the sequel it'd be fun to see some actual (not stylized/modernized) germanic/norse mythology stuff would be fun - rebuilding the Nibelungen ring or something ^^

    Aside from being almost too obvious of a famous magical historical relic I would say Excalibur actually would be an easy one to work into an Indiana Jones story. Why would Nazi's want it? One of the main attributes of the sword was whoever welded it would be invincible in battle, honestly with all the Nazi occult obsession and their hunt for magical relics that sounds like EXACTLY the sort of thing they would be looking for. Plus I'm sure the prospect of using a famous British relic against them would be like adding insult to injury. Not sure how they can work face-melting into that when it all goes awry however.

      I would recommend checking out the comic series Once and Future as it does a supernatural take on Arthur in modern day England.

    I'm curious if it will play out in the DLC, but I have a strong suspicion that Locus is actually Noah (maybe one of his children), unlike the other Nephilim he is seemingly immortal and isn't mutated or cursed like the rest of his people seem to be which is very odd and points out how he is probably chosen by God.
    Yeah it was a good send off for Tony Todd, maybe it doesn't show on stream but for me when he went through the tunnel there was a clearly visible star in that classic 'divine' style (gold cross ringed in light). Although he seems to have survived in the secret ending (which has the Ark parked in front of the Pyramid Mountain in Antarctica - possible location for the DLC?).
    Voss was a great villain too, like an inversion of Indiana himself. I kind of expected more from Bergman though, he was just kinda there.
    I am also looking forward to the (two?) sequels, curious what legend will be in those probably be something other than Abrahamic related, but if I am honest based on previous Indiana Jones instalment those seem to be the most successful story wise. Fate of Atlantis would be cool though, I'd like to see something in South America possibly or maybe something Nordic since the they were obsessed with that culture... maybe Thor or Odin or Yggdrasil related... get to fight/flee from a dragon buried under the earth. Heck Ancient Greek would be cool too, Greek Fire, Zeus Lightning Bolt, maybe Hades and raising the undead if things went particularly wild. China or Shanghai would be cool too, first Emperor of China with the Terracotta Warriors. But agree the really ancient Creation myths are the best.
    Also, fun fact that "She talks in her sleep" line, was adlibbed by Connery. So Ford's reaction to that is genuine, lol.

    I had a thought of them and the pursuit of reincarnation, they have to find a secret hidden chamber to make someone immortal, and they have to retrieve secret relics to "power" it up ....and works in the pyramids. I know, sounds all over the place, but it could work :/
