What immediately pleases the Toyota Prius V is the sun-ready ergonomics. At first glance, the large screen might be a bit intimidating, but it soon turns out that you can turn to conventional switches for a lot of functions. This allows you to quickly adjust the temperature of the climate control or turn on the seat heating. This way you can leave the Bible-thick manual in the glove compartment, you don't have to scroll through various menu layers.
So get in and go. That goes nice and fast, because on the Prius scale, the newbie runs off like crazy. Prius drivers of the old stamp are scared of an accident! The 163 hp electric motor gives them a kick in the butt right from a standstill, reminiscent of a beating from their youth. The two-litre combustion engine is also impressive, resulting in a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds
I think the new Toyota Prius is a beautiful car, especially in the color Sunset Yellow. So, that's out. I once considered a Prius III for purely rational reasons, but I could also buy this fifth generation for fun - apart from the price. And it doesn't stop there; It is a calming, if desired very smooth and also pleasantly dynamic steering car.
A car, moreover, with which you can effortlessly achieve beautiful consumption figures. In and around the city we mainly drove electrically, and yet the battery still had more than 40 percent of its capacity after 45 kilometers. During the solid autobahn stage, we also made the combustion engine work hard. After more than 90 kilometers we reached our goal with an empty battery and the average fuel consumption over the entire route was 2.1 l/100 kilometers (1 in 47.6). This can be more economical, but also more inefficient on longer stretches.
I don't find the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid cheap, but the Opel Astra 1.6 Turbo Hybrid GSe (225 hp) and the Peugeot 308 1.6 PHEV GT (225 hp) also start around 45 mille. On the other hand, there are also those with less power and a lower price. And what about a Tesla Model 3? It also stirs in the same price pond. What does the Toyota Prius have to offer in return? In any case, a reputation for unprecedented long-term quality and reliability and a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.

Ours has given us up to 91Km on a single charge. After nearly 4 months (5,000Km), we have used less than 1.5 tanks of gas !
