First chapters set in Transylvania are really good. After that it goes down. The middle section was never ending. The band of heroes fawning over each other, telling each other how brave, noble, sweet, they all were. Very hard to keep track of who is telling what, as it’s all in a journal/diary/ letter format. Arrrgh!!
