Exploring An Abandoned House Inside A Cave

- My friend, Amanda, invited me along to explore an abandoned house located inside a cave. The story goes, a man decided to build a house inside a cave. Spending a total of 15 years and going through 3 marriages, he eventually gave up and abandoned the project.

The man that started this project obviously didn’t have the right woman at his side or it would’ve been made into a thriving, efficiently run, beautiful home.
Makes good for a 'Man Cave'
Oh hell no those stairs😮
Looks like a cave base in minecraft😅
Really really cool stuff.
Awesome
மிகபெரிய மகிழ்ச்சி
Who lived there?
BIDEN !!!
I have lived in much worse places that cave house shit the first place of my own after high school was a 1960's single wide trailer that the first night after moving in my bedroom floor collapsed in the middle of the night
Well, you don't have to worry about wiping your feet.
I would love to buy it and finish it!!
This cave is in the neighborhood in which I grew up (Smokerise). I knew the man who was building it...not well, but he was a member of what was then the Birmingham Grotto chapter of the National Spelogical Society. I'm assuming that you've probably been through Bryan Cave, but there's one I bet you've not been through. I was stuck in the bottom of it ( probably ten stories down a wet rope into a massive cavern with curtains, alone with a dead flashlight battery until the only other person who knew where I was managed to get from Smokerise back down to Birmingham to wake up several other members of our chapter who came wiry vertical gear and honey buns and saved my ass.
I am certain that the little clay sculptures I made in the walls are still in that cave 30 years later.
I can’t imagine that ever working as a home. How would you stop water from randomly seeping through the rock and the dust! You see what’s on the floor of a cave well all that comes from the rock movement. That’s probably why he gave up.
plastered water-proof
Yabba dabba doooo, I would live there too 😏👍
Looks like an old hippy community!
Where is Amanda's link?

I almost bought that place. Over in smokerise. Lots of caves all through there
Why didn't you?
@@jarvislarson6864 nosy neighbors, crazy town codes, and life honestly. Beautiful area, caves everywhere. I'd love to find something else in the area
I grew up in Smokerise and knew the guy who spent most of his life building this. My folks are still in Smokerise. Did you go to Hayden, by chance?
@@migbham1where by chance is this exactly in smokerise? i’ve searched for this spot for 10 years & i’m so close to pin pointing it. this is a dream photography spot. i just need to find out what road it’s on or at least the coordinates. or if there’s someone i gotta talk to to access this, let me know. i don’t vandalize or anything. i just wanna photograph it.
That looks incredible good i would renovate that place and live there its like a batman cave
Most crazy thing I saw for a long time

That was so interesting.
Cool place to visit!
Anyone that's seen this video, you really don't believe that man took down all those thousands of bricks , do you?
So how do you suggest they materials were moved and the work was done?
@@wentle1985 he moved into the remnants of a melted red brick structure. Often times, those little truth tellers (the red bricks) were pockets of survival. The rest of the inside is completely transitioned red bricks, which can turn into stones, blocks and even boulders. The narrative is not being truthful, to me.
Yep!
@@laquitacreel just spitting out the truth lol
Very very awesome.
Need more videos
Amanda Is Amazing! No Doubt^^
Who cares if I get lost when in the company of a beautiful woman like Amanda! Thanks for sharing this video and giving me the grand tour of a "house in a cave"!
