just can believe it ! I am cleaning the dust on my ol' XP 10 - my first Roland synthesizer by the way and trying to know more of the arpeggiator sounds, and found this. Thanks a lot !!! consider, there is a (significant) group of users outside the USA / Europe Markets, which is my case. these kind of materials were (almost) never made available for us.
Thanks for the upload. I hadn't used my XP-10 in years (due to circumstances beyond my control) and had forgotten how to operate the Arpeggiator. After downloading the manual, I STILL didn't know how. Thanks!
EV - means envelope, and DP, such as the DP-5, stands for digital pedal. The XP-10's wheel on the left of the keyboard was likely inspired by the Moog modular synths in the 1970s (remember the Moog's "mod wheel?").
Hi I purchachased my xp-10 5/15/23 i already figured it out with out the manual bc i had one brand new in 1999.. loved it the keybed was changed to a yamaha keybed custom done all black keys
this is great but I would still like to find a user friendly manual to easily get to presets and program things. the manual that came with the xp-10 is exasperating
I recently purchased a used one. I’m trying to do one simple thing. Dual. Mix a Piano and strings. I’ve figured out how to combine them - BUT.... I’d like to lower the volume a bit of the strings. Anyone know how to do this please? Thanks.
this video "re opened" my eyes about midi interfaces. As far I know, I connected the traditional midi interface (MIDI - SERIAL or MIDI USB) or the MIDI "to host" cable (grandfather of the USB to host) - serial cables worked like a charm with a bit rate of about 38400 bps (yes, bits, no kbits or Mbits) with the MIDI port found on the sound cards or the serial port available on some desktops and laptops. however with the "advent" of windows XP, all these things stopped working, I could never again make interfaces work, mainly due to drivers, and the serial - midi ports disappeared from computers. If someone of the readers know how to make it work, or can make me (and others) point to the how-to I will be very thankful
Byu MIDI KIT from SOUND BLASTER - it containes , some sequencer software, for win,but the mos important part that is included in the kit is MIDI to GAME PORT (preferebly for Sound Blaster sound card'S,or ANY sound card that has GAME PORT on it),I have that MIDI KIT that i still use od my old XP 10(from 1996,and it worksperfectly in windows 10 in Cubase , here ua-cam.com/video/IRCEXp9t64k/v-deo.html

Thanks for this video! I got this keyboard 🎹 from a pawn shop a year ago.
Thanks! I’ve had the xp-10 for decades and never explored it’s depth. Very helpful!
Do you know how to play the sound? Because I just got one used and there’s no sound. Is there a speaker I can use? If so what speaker?
@@kaylinmae1923 you need to plug a speaker / headphones into the back of it.
DID NOT KNOW MY XP-10 COULD DO ALL THAT.THANK YOU SO MUCH
