Yep lots of cruises stop by for the day. Hotel had AC. If it didn't, I think we would melt. Super safe at night. Seb was walking around with a big camera and we felt pretty fine. Athens can be a bit more sketchy though but Santorini (and Meteora) were felt safe.
So, Karen, you have never been to Athens, nor plan on going, yet you have an opinion??? 😂🤣Athens is the oldest capital in Europe. It has some wonderful parts! Greece as a whole, has always been one of the safest countries in the European Union.

Day time, when the cruise ships land, it gets pretty aggressive. Nice during sunrise and early morning though :)
