noticed some people didn't understand what was going on. The board removed is what contains the genuine apple information. problem is, it also contains the ORIGINAL batteries cycle count and capacity % in this case battery had 87% capacity and 1000 cycles. if you just connect the board to the battery, it will still show as 87% and your customers will think you didn't change the battery.
@Floida Apple Mac Pros inc. I appreciate the explanation! Only thing I’d add is that the person using the phone should notice it’s battery life go back to new even though the settings won’t if you don’t alter the data.

I have small repair outfit and it went mostly smoothly for an iPhone 11.
I may not have trimmed leads enough on core battery as battery cover piece wouldn’t completely cover.
It worked for 3 days and now battery message returned.
Any thoughts?
I was able to change battery health and cycles without issue.
I did use a regular battery prior.
The only difference of note is I used interstellar apollo one. It appeared to work? How come you didn’t continue to use? Could it require copy power?
The apollo one isn’t even reading original serial number on battery I ported data and flex cable to.
Am I screwed?

Tell me please, what that purpose is needed adapter for connection of the battery for programmer? As I see you desoldered old controller for new battery, is it not enaugh? And with old original controller just program the battery.

You should be able to with no problem as long as the you also use the compatible tag on flex’s for the models that require one.
You make it look easy but it just convinced me it's not something I would try. Looking at the yelp reviews in my area for battery replacement on iPhone 11 Pro shows me there's a 50/50 chance of having your phone destroyed at one of these service providers. God, I hate Apple.

Hey so how did you get the software to update? I tried and it updates and them goes into the coder like cmd if you know what I mean.
Really nice job! I noticed that you didn't have to activate the new cell at all? iCopy just detected it right away? For some reason I do have to plug it in to an external charger first, otherwise it won't read the data. Odd. Thanks for the video!
Great point. You can activate it with a power supply or external charger but I just plug it into the phone and charge it up a little and it does the trick. Then the copy power tool detects it.

Why use flex? Can’t electric swapped cannot be flashed?
ios 17.4 now have to do a flash update and select repair battery health on 3utools after doing the tag on method.. make sure to at least take not of screen lock code to be able to do this. in some cases you make need apple id and password unfortunately..

In your other video you say that you can take the tag on flex out for the next repair and that the percentage and battery health will work normally?
Yes, I said I hadn’t seen any issues with leaving them out, but apparently if you do it can revert back to the old percentage after a full battery cycle. I’m currently testing for results

I have the apollo interstellar one from ms, do i need to use the tag on flex? Whenever I try to write the data onto it via the qianli software, it states "data write-in/Binding failed, please try again."
Yes you need the tag on flex
yes, you need the tag on flex for the 11 series and up. The new core battery may need to be charged a little as well, or I've found that it helps to charge it up a little before altering the data.

Yes, you can always use an aftermarket battery without swapping the bms. You’ll just have to deal with the notification and not battery health in the settings, both most people can live with.
I just tried to replace the iPhone XR battery by moving the old BMS battery to the new battery. but after a few days my cellphone suddenly often turns off or loses charge. What caused it? this is happening on other phones as well

No, it will go down over time just like the original battery did over time
i never leave the flex inside,no problems for now...
After a full cycle without the tag on flex the phone can reset the data. But I’m kinda with you on this as well….maybe it’s a iOS thing?
What if you format to factory settings? I think it Will show old data tho

Only if you desire to not have the battery notification not present and still have battery health in the settings. You can always do it for less and deal with the notification with any cheap aftermarket battery

@@ilyaglotov9756 use flex i2c extension for first time after reset battery data with i2c tool...... after phone show 100% BH.....power off phone and remove i2c flex and switch on the phone with battery connected without i2c extension

My 11 promax was 😢at 90% and within 3 days it drained to 81 % 🥹😭……. Initially I made enquiries about battery 🔋 replacement and they said if they change it, The percentage won’t show 🆙 again 😤
