Tjabben - Fughetta on »Herzliebster Jesu« (N°.11 from »33 Choral Fughettas«)

This is the first original composition on this channel, a Choral Fughetta on EG 81 »Herzliebster Jesu«, written on July 24th, 2019.
Recorded on March 10th, 2024 on the historic Walcker-organ (1909, 19/II/P) in the Ev.-Reformierte Kirche Lübeck and uploaded on the occasion of Lent.
If you listen carefully you can find out the architecture of the Fughetta: the first two choral phrases build up the subject, the "exposition" is then followed by the third phrase in the pedal before the final forth phrase brings the little fugue to an end. Due to its size and comprehensibility it can be used as a choral prelude in services.
