I dig that you're demoing with an affordable guitar and not a Collings or something out of most people's reach. It highlights the fact these pickups would sound good in just about anything.
RJ does a ton of demos of cheap guitars. They always sound great. It's 95% the fact that he's a top tier professional guiyarist, and 5% the fact that he runs everything into amazing amps.
Jason makes some of the finest pickups in the world. They are worth the money, trust me. I wind them myself and it is very time consuming if you do it right.
Epiphone? I love mine and they used to be so perfect for things like new pickups. The new ones are so good now though I haven’t changed a thing. My older ones are hot rodded though!
hate to be that guy; ...it's refreshing to see a demo that's not about an effect or stomp-box. they sound great. i'm looking for some p90's (humbucker size) if anyone knows any good shouts! i have a lollar, look for something diffrent in my old 70's lp! okay, byyyeeee
@@RJRonquillo while using the bridge “full”, how much does it push an amp? I typically like to get some grit out of the amp naturally with the pickups before applying an OD pedal.
Great playing from R.J. and nice sounding pickups from Jason as per usual but I still don't understand the quest to make 'buckers that sound like Strat pickups when split, especially now that decent S-style guitars are available for not much more than the price of these PUPs. Do people not bring two guitars to gigs anymore?
Some people just prefer the feel or look of one style guitar over another. LPs and strats don't feel anything like each other, so I could see why some players would want LP tones from a strat or strat tones from a LP.
Same reason you wouldn't want a separate guitar for each individual effects pedal. Just pretend single coil tone was a stompbox option, like drive or compression.
I don't go to gigs with two guitars. Never have. And my left hand suffers each time I play a different guitar. Incipient CTS only asks to stick with just one all the time. Also at home. Everything is easier and more fluent.
I dont know if you monitor your feed yourself but nice playing- you know how to get great sounds, some poeple cant get one good note- you get every one you play to speak like jeff beck . I doubt people get how fast that pickup design turns on a dime. Thank you for doing that demo!

Would sound good under R.J.'s fingers, that's for sure. :-))

Even broom stick will sound amazing with pups like that
Or players like this guy. He is in inspiration.
Nice option for an expanded tonal range. Great demo & playing R.J.
They sound great. Really enjoyed your playing on the opening jam.
Much brighter than your typical HB

Yeah, the gear is nice, but I NEED a set of those hands!
Sounds amazing Bro!!! How do you like the Eldorado compared to the Imperial? I went blackface blackface Imperial on my strat and love it for sure!
I like both, I prefer the humbucker character of the Imperial but the Eldorado sounds really good split, better than any humbucker i've tried.

@@RJRonquillo Have you also tried the Fralin Unbucker? I can't make up my mind between these two.

Some folks *love* oysters, and will pay a premium for them.
Some folks hate them, and say they taste like snot.
Others, simply don't give a shit 🙂
