Came here after a sequel being officially announced by James Cameron! I’m so excited we’re getting a sequel I was so obsessed with the film. I’m definitely now going to be getting my hands on this plus more alita merchandise lol alita nation we’re back⚔️

This figure is what started me into the HT collecting craze and rightfully so. This figure of her just blew me away. They've nailed every detail on what I love about the film and wanting for even more. I wish HT would also consider making her a motorball version and of course that iconic war paint in her face.

Damn this looks amazing. I've never bought more than one of any figure before, but with the extra outfit and all the fantastic poses you can put her in, I think this almost demands that you get two.

The budget for the movie was between 150-200 million. It made 405 million worldwide. It was stated that the movie broke even and/or it lost 53 million. Loved the movie. Side note: the tv series Dark Angel, created by James Cameron and starring Jessica Alba, was based on the 90's Battle Angel: Alita series.

It really baffles me as to why Battle Angel Alita wasn't a successful movie, even though there were a lot of people who really enjoyed it, me included. The characters, setting, story, visuals and action sequences were all done really well. I've already watched the movie around half a dozen times or so and each viewing was just as enjoyable as the previous one. Having said that, the Hot Toys Battle Angel Alita 1/6th scale figure was absolutely worth the two year wait. Initially, I thought that it would never come out because it kept getting delayed over and over again. I bought the figure last year and I was absolutely blown away the moment that I received it and took it out of the box. Speaking of which, I love the box art. It definitely makes a great first impression. In regards to the figure itself, it has a very pretty head sculpt. The eyes looks great and the fact that they utilize the PERS system was something that was completely unexpected (at the time). Certain people would've preferred rooted hair, but as you've already mentioned, it wouldn't have worked otherwise. The fact that Hot Toys utilized a special body for Alita is very impressive and they deserve to be commended for doing so. I appreciate the inclusion of the outfit, which would warrant buying another Alita 1/6th scale Hot Toys figure. The body itself has a lot of intricate details that have been very nicely sculpted and painted. Alita doesn't come included with a lot of accessories, but she comes with the ones that you'd expect her to be included with. The heart is a nice inclusion. The Damascus Blade has a nice paint application and it's nicely sculpted as well. The display base with the wall and broken rubble was previously used with another figure, but that's perfectly fine and it doesn't bother me whatsoever. I like the lenticular effect that was added to the placard. With that aside, I was really glad to have been given the chance to add the Hot Toys Alita 1/6th scale figure to my existing collection. It's an absolute beauty. It has an immaculate paint application. The sculpt and details are perfectly executed. Thanks as always Justin for another great video. I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!

they did a wonderful job on the body and the headsculpt. I'm still not too thrilled with how the hair piece turned out though especially with how the part of her hair protrudes past her face. Correct me if I'm wrong, notice how all the better looking sculpted hair hot toys has done is either pulled back (training WW, EG black widow), pulled to the side, or short hair (i.e. Thor).

The way the light reflects on the letters from some angles it looked like the figure was saying just LIT. Which would be true.

Damn... She's on my want list but only planned on an MCU Hot Toys collection 😭 this puts her on the need list but honestly don't know where to place her! Great review Justin! I loved the movie and the fact that a Hollywood director was inspired and is a fan of Anime and a classic one at that.

Great review! Triggered by your lack of faith in the sequel happening though! XD If Alita doesn't get a sequel even though it did well for an unknown IP and big potential for more profits in the sequel, then I lose all faith in Hollywood and Disney tbh (and they lose my money).

JC said the dvd sales was over a billion$ alone for Alita. He said two sequels have been greenlighted. But no dates set yet. He wants to do it right. Which means years from now...

Somebody already made a rooted hair custom and it looks 10000% perfect. Hot Toys dropped the ball with the hair, although the sculpted hair still looks good. And yes there will be an Alita 2. Disney isn’t stupid.

i really want to get one of those. i really love the franchise, and the film is so badass. it would be so nice to have more merch. also, i prefer the rooted hair, it makes it more realistic and it covers a lot of the space between the hair and neck

Far from a fan of the film (typical origin story problems, leans too hard into genre tropes, etc.), but Hot Toys has really outdone themselves here. Easily one of the best-looking 1/6 scale figures I've seen in a while. Might, just might, have to rethink getting this one. Thanks, as always, for the review, Justin.

This looks amazing. Not a fan of Hot Hoys but this, along with the MCU spiderman figures, is the only one/s that caught my attention so far.

I started off with only collecting Spider-Man hot toys only and I still do but they have become much like iron man where it’ll be very difficult to grab every version so I skipped 2099 and a few more. My next ones are both versions from far from home, but I must say that this Alita figure may beat every other figure I own in my collection. This figure is simply fantastic, the wait was well worth it. Keep up the good work!!

I wasn’t that excited for this figure but now I’m really happy to get it. It’s really cool and I prefer the straight looking head sculpt. I won’t be mad at the new material if it’s more durable than there previous materials. The pleather decomposing is something I’m worried about.

I was on the fence on this but was leaning over the buy side. On this video Justin it looks better than what i've seen so far anywhere else. I agree about the sculpted hair. I think it's the way to go. My take on it is that whether it is rooted or sculpted, it still doesn't look "hyper-real". But sculpted is just much better to handle. Especially at this hair length. Generally it will always look better more often than not.

I didn't get this figure because I wanted a die cast. This figure however looks great in plastic, better than I thought it would. I don't like the hair because I think it limits the range too much, put her in a ground pound pose and I bet she stares at the floor. Better than I thought but I still won't get one. Thanks again for the review, I like watching reviews of 1/6 scale figures that I don't pick up too and your reviews are some of the best.

The cheapest brand new one of these I could find was from Shanghai, China to ship to the U.K. I could not find anything closer so I may be stung by import tax, either way this will be my first Hot Toys figure as they are so damn expensive but I had to get this, it’s so detailed and I absolutely loved this movie.
I was very unsure about spending so much until I watched your video so thank you, hopefully it doesn’t take too long and the box isn’t banged up as it’s a nice box.

Sometimes ratched joints are a terrible idea on certain figures. This is one of those times and figures... Hot Toys can learn quite alot from what ThreeZero did with releases like Optimus.

I would have liked a head swap between this and her 1st body in the movie. It had intricate patterns engraved in the arms that would have made for a beautiful figure. I’d have gladly paid for a deluxe two pack if it were available.

Most higher end figures that aren't 1/6 feature completely unique bodies, it's honestly frustrating that hot toys reuses accessory parts so much when they don't even make new bodies most of the time.

@@JustinsCollection Sure, look at some SH Figuarts, Figma or Mafex figures. Each line has some figures with reused body parts but the vast majority have new bodies every release.

The pelvic multi-joints are for hiding and minimizing the articulation gaps. It will be a waste if HT did not do this since this is already a 1-tiime fully customized body.

Wow, I'm impressed, 1,5 years of waiting didn't go to waste.
That free floating hip pieces are somekind of faux-butt, the solution to have super-articulation while maintaining smooth body silhouette.
I don't think I will use the included outfit, I'll use fabric tanktop & tight pants.
Maybe it has few accessories because most of the cost goes to the movable eyes, and I'm glad HT did. I prefer having figure with various expressions, the accessories can be kitbashed or customized.

I think its up to the figure...for example, a Wonder Woman with sculpted hair would be extremely restrictive on neck and shoulders articulation

My main issue is the proportions aren't right, the chest to head is too long so it doesnt look right especially when compared to the photos of the actual film character.
