    I have type 2b /2c and some 3a wavy hair and I thought it wouldn’t work on me but it surprisingly did and my waves became more like curls and super defined thanks!

      omnom did you have any trouble with volume at the top of your head? I have 3a spirally curls and I wanna try this but I’m afraid my roots will look all squished and flat 😂

      I honestly dont know what type of curls i have. Like spirals and some waves too. My hair is very thick and frizzy too :(

      @@lunareclipse- same, maybe some of it could be damaged or you just have more than one tipe of pattern in you hair.

    • @klerushka
      @klerushka Місяць тому +1

      @@isabellee41All you need to do is to make sure your sections are smaller. You can then proceed to merge many twists together if you wish to secure the set more while you sleep or wait for it to dry.
      Also, I strongly recommend using any hair oil (or oil that works for your hair, granted it isn't too heavy for your hair type of course) while taking the twists out so as to not create any unnecessary frizz. That being said, no oil should be applied anywhere near your scalp in this context! It is key to keeping this precious volume at your roots.
      And if your hair permits it, a "fourche" or hair "pick" (I can't recall if that's the right translation, I'll just hope it is lol) may help add additional volume to specific ares or your hair throughout the day or before coming out the house.
      If all fails, you can always use a volumizing dry shampoo to fake it til you make it. I recommend the Batiste XXL Volume one (pink/purple packaging).
      Hope it works out for you!

    I have done 3 strand 1 time on my hair. i noticed the difference with 3 vs 2, there was way more definition and it lasted much longer. Your hair looks great!

    I love this look but I love all of your hair tutorials so no surprise:) I need to have my hair stylist give this a try. I've been transitioning since October 2016 (Yay!!! Almost to 1 year). I get my hair shampooed and deep conditioned once weekly. Flat twists have been my go to style since it helps with blending the two textures. But I have noticed that lately I'm not getting as much definition and it doesn't look as good by the 6th or 7th day as it did in my earlier transition months. So I hope this method helps because I'm still not quite ready to big chop.

    Love it! You did a great job.Im just against eco styling gel.I use pure castor oil from Jamaican, Twisted sista curl activator with avacado, and Coconut/vitamin e oil.Same result no crunched feeling.it last like a week and a half.I braid and then twist the middle section for more definition and height. God bless you with your beautiful self.

    • @MeowMeow-jj3lk
      @MeowMeow-jj3lk 2 роки тому

      Late reply but dry it with a diffuser on low or medium heat to really set the style- that's what I do, I always wear a bonnet at night too. It lasts me 4 days of wearing it simply down and then after that I get more creative with styles (eg ponytail, pigtails and then eventual bun) for the next 4 days before I wash it again
