Yesterday the 23 of Sep. I tried several baits was finally able to catch 3 on a crankbaits. Your right it's tough. However it awesome to be on the water rather catch anything.
Things will start picking up this week with these cooler nights. The shad will get a little shallower and start moving to the front of creeks! You made the right choice on baits. Whack em. Godspeed. jimmy
Lately I have been finding the bass in 6 to 8 feet of water, well off the bank and on the weed edges. I have been getting them on Sluggo and Spanky, texas riggged without weight. I have also been getting them on culprit classic and zeuss worms again wightless texas rig. For mechanical baits I have been getting them on a chic magnet crankbait and mepps agilia #3 spinner. The mechanical baits have been working in 3 to 6 feet of water cranked just above the submergent weeds. On rare occasion I have caught a few on Karate Craw around rocks and sand/ rock flats. For some reason the bite has consistantly died about 30 to 45 minutes before sundown.
That is kinda strange, usually it picks up some about that time. That 6-10 foot level is pretty consistent right now. Especially if you have a thermocline. That grass is the ticket, no doubt. Congrats. Godspeed. jimmy

Hello Jimmy it's Bill how are you hope all is well Jimmy and hope all is well with Chris Jimmy absolutely awesome video from the archives and I really really do enjoy the video and Jimmy I'll tell you you're absolutely right on the money I agree with you 100% y'all definitely variety of lures from the tackle bag boat Locker whatever we have and I agree absolutely variety of lures and many techniques should be used during this time and process I agree with that and Jimmy great advice here great tips and spinnerbait Plastics topwater and jerkbait really work well for me and these situations but however yes Jimmy I have thrown many other baits also and they seem to do fairly well some more than others and some are less than others I guess it depends on their feeding habit for the day LOL LOL both Jimmy we both know that but really great to see some really nice bass you were bringing in for sure and that's spinnerbait and Plastics way to go on that one that's for sure and Jimmy and something else I normally look at is at water temperature too and and try to search for them and visitation and I have done well with that too and caught quite a few out of vegetation for sure there's where I'll throw a topwater frog over lily pads grass beds you name it we're on it and seems to work fairly well and then there's other times it doesn't fall fishing at its best Jimmy LOL all right Jim hope you're having a good day and I will definitely talk to you soon stay in touch when you can and God bless you Jimmy God bless Chris and the family and I sure do love you all very very dearly!!

Hello Jimmy how are you Jimmy hope all is well and thank you very very much for getting back to me I greatly appreciate Jim always enjoy talking to you always enjoy our text, messages for sure and Jimmy yes I'm definitely getting out there to whack them fishing has been a little bit slow due to a lot of the weather conditions here Jim and water levels are very low we're going to hope things pick up and when it rains temperatures are starting to cool things down well and I think we're going to be in good shape and the fishing is definitely going to pick up Jimmy no doubt about it now we are in the fall stage and boy here we go I want to enjoy some really good fall bass fishing and wishing you the same and I'm sure Jimmy we will do really well on the fall bass fishing me and you also hoping everyone else out there will get really good bike store in fall fishing that's for sure Jimmy I'll definitely talk to you soon thank you again for getting back to me Jim at least I know all is good and you're doing well and say hello to Chris for me and stay in touch when you can God bless you Jimmy God bless Chris and the family sure do love you all dearly!!
My fall fishing was today and ended up catching 27 nice Bluegill in Iowa of a fishing pier. Summer best catch. 45 minutes to clean. Now a fish fry this weekend. Great video Jimmy

Spinner bait has been the real deal this last week, even though I throw it most of year. Still tossing the tackle bag at them, just as it turns dark is working best.
