The smiles during the test drive say it all.
It's nice to have people with knowledge that can help you out when it goes beyond your own knowledge. The circle of friends we have in out lives are important.
That was a garage just full of great people. You could see Robby and the whole crew trying to absorb as much knowledge as the could.
And of course watching Demri and Kehins little one interaction was magical.
I have noticed lately Demri
Has been absorbing knowledge on building vehicles and learning by listening and watching. Demri corrects some of the mistakes that have been said. Now since this video is with Chad , Demri has just downloaded information as she was videoing with Colton.
I won’t be surprised if Demri will be behind the wheel of this historic beauty. Demri may now want that Godzilla motor.
Yesterday, Robby was setting up the laser table she was watching every move he made.

What I noticed was the fishing rods... that is a good reminder to slow down and treat yourself to a day off. It's amazing how many solutions come to you when you clear your mind while out on the lake.
Ice fishing rods? Looked really short.

I agree with Kehin, with a minor caveat. He said to name the 57 "Lightning", but I think there is so much rust that the name should be "Lightening" because every time you hit a bump, you will be lightening the load.

You can set the throttle blade where you need it, to make it idle, and then do the "tps autoset" in the Holley to re-zero the ecu to see that position as the zero point. Then at temp adjust the idle screw so the IAC is 0-10% and then do the tps autoset again to reset the zero point. This will ensure that the iac has the range of motion that is needed throughout the temp range, to maintain the idle rpm.

Impressive….as usual…thanks for starting my week out on a positive 👍👍🙂. Stickers are a tradition in Naval aviaton….if you have to land aboard any carrier other than your ‘home’ your plane gets plastered with that ships air wing stickers, then you have to fly aboard your own ship with all that on your plane….good fun!

You should call him out on the stickers. Tell him you are proud that he likes your shop and work enough to tag it and ask him why his rust can doesn't have one. You did your magic on the car and took it from barely running to hang on.

It was fun to see Chad's Fab and Robby Layton collaborating on the '57. Chad laying hands on it sure made a big difference in how it runs!
Some potential names for the '57: Rusty or Crusty (too obvious?) Or maybe Cora (short for "corrosion"). Possibly Fred or Barney (for the Flintstone-inspired floors of the car)..
