Bobby Green started at Pennicle MMA which is an associated gym with Cquence where Sean trained. The MMA program of both gyms were ran together in Norco so them having a similar style could be due to the gym they trained at and the coaches they trained under and shouldn’t necessarily be taken as evidence to Bobby green’s claims. I’m sure that Bobby Green beats EVERYONE in sparring according to Bobby Green.

Strickland confirmed the story, Strickland wasn’t as big or skilled as it was years ago. Odd things happen. I wrestled and watched a 135lber beat the breaks off of 145-152lb state champs. Hell Jacare 185 beat Roger Gracie multiple times in BJJ open weight and Roger is a heavyweight. It was years ago. Size isn’t everything if the person is better/more experienced. Doesn’t mean you can’t surpass them later either that’s why you train to improve.

As in for certain guys you spar with you’re already thinking your beat or “here we go I can’t beat this guy he’s gonna dawg me”. Atleast for me it was. Obviously confidence isn’t gonna make you all of a sudden beat them guys but it definitely helps.

Strickland uses the African American Variant which focuses more on defence and fundamentals than being flashy. Strickland's style focuses on defence and footwork along with using his jab at a high output.
