They've changed the parameters a little bit since this video. It's now called "Remix" and it's a bit like "stitching" on TikTok where you can replay, respond, add onto or collabe with another existing video (including long form) where the original Creator has allowed permissions to do so.

Android OS is modified by every different manufacturer to suit the needs of the phone their making. Apple doesn't do that. So it's much harder for companies to test for feature stability on Android. My guess is that you will see it there eventually.

That’s not something you could do using the Remix feature. You’ll need to investigate “Fair Use” guidelines from UA-cam support. support.google.com/youtube/answer/9783148
They've changed the name to "Remix" and if the Creator has permissions allowed, you can choose "Collab" and in the upper right you'll now see a little clock that says 15 seconds, click on that and you can change it up to 60 seconds.
Another thing to be aware of is that if the original creator changes permissions later on after you’ve made a short like I did, it will remove that short

First thing, they've changed the feature name to "Remixing" Second thing: You may have missed part of this video where I explained that this is mobile only and the Creator who made the orginal video controls whether or not he/she allows remixing. Go to my channel, you'll see almost all of my content is available for remixing.
From your own video? Make sure you have shorts sampling turned on in the videos edit page and then just open it on mobile. You’ll see the “Remix” option next to the share button
