Nice to see my old college classmate, Geoff Bartholomew, who has been at McSorley's for many decades.
Amazing all the way from Ireland
Love this place !!! Dark or Light ?
Be good or be gone
It's on my bucket list to go there!
Mine too!
Such a magical place.
I was there three days ago. The place is awesome!!
Went to Tisch at NYU for grad school. McSorley's was always down the street for drinks and it was always $6 for two ales. What a bargain.
It's funny I love NYC but I always forget how young the city is. I've recently traced my family back 300 years and they all lived within the same 3 mile area of East London without even knowing it! It's great to see this historical bar if only walls could talk.
I was there today,it’s such an amazing bar
the 3-4 times I went…yup that guy was behind the bar 👍👍💯💯
I haven’t been there since the late 70’s. Time to return
How did they not mention Abraham Lincoln’s chair or Harry Houdini’s handcuffs that are in the bar? Great job reporting the history of the place…
Piece of history
Mi lugar favorito en NY muchas muchas buenas memorias
I went there from Australia, top knotch place.
Good booze, friendly vibe.
Great bar. Forget about European history, we get it.... people stating the bloody obvious. This is historic in the USA. Dark ale is best 👍
If you served that amount of head on a pint in ireland you might be punched 😂
Get the crackers, cheese, and mustard.
Carson Daly chunked up
Home
Did they lower the price? It was 2 for $7 in March 2022
When I went in 2016 I don’t remember exactly but it was 2 for $5 or $6. I tried the light first but didn’t like it. The dark was way better. So I drank the dark. I had the raw onions with raw mustard and crackers and I think cheese too. But that’s it. Had a great time
you can't call a bar an irish bar without whiskey. For hundreds of years thats all that was served in irish inns/pubs.Alehouse is an english thing and so is ale, though technically smithwicks and kilkenny are ales we don't call them ales.Probably a fine establishment but apart from the music it wouldn't cure an irishmans homesickness
Who's we?
