Well.. point is that previous version of MBUX (1st generation) aka NTG6.0 is still sucks. I believe it is simple software problem... just getting rid of useless temperature information... it must be be fixed by update.
Thanks Ivan, I hope they bring the Car Play update to the current W177. It's a shame we still lose that tiny bit for the home screen but it's better than before.

I have a 2023 CLA not AMG and I have 2 questions 1. Will my apple car play ever be wireless? The wire is annoying and tacky for Mercedes. 2. Should I add navigation? What are some benefits or features? Thank you
Picked up a brand new CLA today. Pretty disappointed that the CarPlay experience is pretty dire. Especially as my C Class had a widescreen display and worked flawlessly with CarPlay.
@@InfernoCA Doesn’t take up the whole screen, just a small square in the middle of it. I’ve been using the built in MBUX system ever since as that’s a far better experience.

No solution and they could probably easily fix this with an update to mbux
10:35 it's funny that the display says that there are lights in the middle like in the 1st W177 models, but there actually aren't lights any more... so they really didn't put that much effort into that part of the software ... :/

Usually what is in certain package varies based on the country. Make sure to check your local packages or ask salesman about it. Here you need to get it as optional extra "Smartphone integration" and it costs 360€, it's not a part of any package. So be sure to check it for sure

Why do you not have ambient lights on the right and left doors as you showed? Is this an extra option you have to buy??
You need to have any trim in the dash and doors, which costs like 200-300, so that's a must have in order to get ambient lights there
@@IvanSensei It's made stupid by Mercedes. Nobody is telling the customers this when they configure the car. You can't read it anywhere.

If you mean C-Class, my dealer told me they will not bring an update for the C-Coupe. Nothing is planned.
It seems like they removed some ambient lights. Also on my 2022 car headrest and center console on the side. Its a bit of a shame they removed this after 2021…
Ambient Light on the door panel is only available If you buy the aluminium door part on the side.

Thank you! I would say 99,99% you are getting facelift because by that time production of the facelift should already start. But your salesman will know more.

Yes, now possible to order as an optional extra with the facelift

This mbux system is known as ntg7 2019-2023 models will have ntg6 unless Mercedes install it as a new system on the car during a service idm don’t think they’ll do an update for it which is shit cause I have a 2022 cla 250 and it annoys me that Apple car play using full screen all they wud need to do is change the aspect ratio instead of a full os update and change the temp to the bezel on the left as it is on this car or have it overlay Apple car play

Yeah, that really useful, er I mean useless, touchpad! That's why they removed it - hardly anybody bothered with it.

There is zero reason they can’t bring this full screen CarPlay to existing models
@@pavvel9884 the semi official reason is that pre-facelift models had both 7 and 10 inch screens, so they had to adapt to both of them; although I don't think it is impossible to code it so that it knows the available real estate

Depends on the market. Some get new facelift. I believe it's discontinued in the US, with CLA being entry level model

Gauges look ever so slightly different with the hybrid and you have more driving modes. Speaking of which, how are you now supposed to change the driving modes if the toggle switch from the center console is gone? How do you change the music track now without the touchpad shortcut?
