Winter storm threat increasing for Charlotte, NC: Brad Panovich UPDATE

The chances for some type of wintry weather are increasing for the Charlotte, North Carolina area this weekend. First Warn Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich has the latest winter weather forecast for North Carolina and South Carolina in this update.
IMPORTANT: The chances of some type of wintry weather DOES NOT mean just snow. This includes the possibility of sleet, ice, freezing rain and snow. There are many factors that play into the forecast that will determine what type and how much precipitation we get.
Brad Panovich explains the latest computer models and forecasts what could happen this week. The latest maps are showing high chances of winter precipitation for the Charlotte area and it continues to trend upward.

My buddy since the late 60s has relocated and his retirement to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. two things were a culture shock to him when he moved from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. The 10 or 11% sales tax on many things, and the fact that there is no state safety inspection on vehicles in South Carolina.
he said he went to a tire center to buy tires for his van. Well he was strolling around the property waiting for them to finish up. He noticed that there was a very very large pile of discarded tires in the trash area. He said that most of these tires had no tread whatsoever left on them. And many of them were worn all the way down to the fiber cords of the tire.. he said even if it rains in Myrtle Beach, people end up crashing their cars because of their completely smooth worn out tires a lot of times. He said if we get 1/10 of an inch of snow in South Carolina, every road in the entire state will be shut down because of people riding around on bald tires.My buddy makes it a point to send me pictures he’s taking with his cell phone of cars and trucks with completely bald tires. It seems every time he goes to the shopping center or a grocery store, he sends me more pictures
I did not believe him when he said that they have no state inspection which includes emissions testing. But I checked online, and he is right. I wonder how they get their federal highway matching dollars because they are not in compliance with the emissions mandate of the federal government to get that matching highway funds money

WE ALL KNOW ABOUT HOW EACH PRECIP TYPE FORMS INDIVIDUALLY AND THE ROLE WARM AIR PLAYS IN EACH CASE, BUT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE A PRESENTATION THAT EXPLAINS HOW THE P-TYPES GET MIXED, THE SAME CLOUD, THE SAME PLACE, THE SAME TIME!! THIS HAS BEEN MY BIGGEST QUESTION AND BIGGEST MYSTERY CONCERNING THE WEATHER!! PLEASE ANSWER THIS!!
