They're of the same age. It would have been great if Selena have lived longer, the two queens could have met and collaborated. They have some of the most beautiful voices on Earth.
Selena was so smart that even in her last moments with the pain of the bullet in her body and with while fainting into death from the lose of blood she still got to someone just in time to say who shot her. From the room where Selena was shot to the Lobby where she ran for help was a long way. So time was very critical before she would loose consciousness. If Selena would have ran in another direction in panic no one would have known who shot her because there was no one else around.

@@yarixzamendoza6314 she was shot in a major artery, it was a fatal wound. plus yolanda chased after her for a bit after she first shot her so if selena stayed put yolanda would’ve shot her again. plus it’s natural instinct, when you’re in that kind of danger you run.
i dont think that was smart because i mean anyone would quickly tell the person who shot them and actually she did do a wrong move by running which worsened her body because she lost extremely more blood, but she had no other choice too because if she stayed yolanda would shoot her more. I say selena ran because of her adrenaline and quick reaction of the brain. RIP. Selena

Though she's no longer with us, let her music and her memory live on forever. Let's give Selena the honor she deserved, and let her music always be an inspiration for all future generations. She deserves that. She had become bigger than life. I pray her legacy reins in all ears and haunts the livin hell out of Yolanda to the day she dies. Selena was by far, the greatest female singin sensation I've even ever heard.

It wasn't some random stranger she was confronting. It was the president of her fan club. A woman she knew fairly well, worked with and was trusted by Selena and her family. Never in a million years would she have imagined that would happen I am certain of it.

When Selena was shot, the bullet hit her back and severed an artery near her heart and pierced a hole in her right lung and exited out her chest. Almost all the blood she had in her body came out of this artery in minutes because it was one of the main ones so a blood tranfusion would never help. My mom works with a doctor who knows these things.

I have always wondered....... why haven't we heard in all these years since Selena's death from some of the people that must have heard the shot and that were in the other motel rooms in that building ?? I'm sure everyone was scared to even peak out the windows. But, Selena got shot around 10 in the morning. By then somebody in the other rooms was up and probably heard Yolanda arguing with Selena or heard Selena screaming as she ran away. Shit !! I'm not Mexican but I will always love her

It depends on the singer. Selena was mostly a spanish singer and was just getting into making english music. Selena can't be compared to Elvis or John because they are english singers. You can compare Elvis to Kurt because they both sang english but Selena was incomparible in the spanish music industry and can't be compared easily.
