You two are so kind to consider that the mud on your body will stain the seats on the train and convenience stores, most people won’t think about these at all. Wish you all a happy journey no matter where you go.
Love your videos. 6 is an auspicious number in taiwan. Cycling 66.6 km in a raining day means you're going to hit 30k and even 100k subscribers real quick .
There are a lot of mountains in the middle of Taiwan from north to south. If you are riding in the opposite side of the same latitude of Taiwan (southern west), it will be sunny because the mountains block the wind and clouds in winter. But yes you guys did it, just pity riding on a cloudy windy raining days. Sunshine will make everything looks pretty.
When you hesitated in front of the train station whether to take the train or continue riding your bike, and finally decided to ride your bike to the next destination, I think you really fell in love with cycling around Taiwan.🥰 In the end, you gave up taking the train because you were covered in mud and worried about disturbing others. You are really great!!👍 30,000 subscribers will be reached soon! Come on!! Also, I really like the background music when Jacqueline complains about the rain at 2:30, it goes really well together haha🤣
We have really fallen in love with cycling! Taking the train is nice but it's not what we came here to do! And we will have to take another train in a future video so we're really glad we pushed through on this day!
Bad weather is a bummer for sure, I don’t know, but personally when properly dressed it’s more bearable for me cycling in the cold wet windy winter than the scorching humid summer in Taiwan. Pick your poison😅, conclusion: do it in spring or autumn or buy a pair of waterproof shoes. Not sure if you have had lunch in Chishang, the town where you hopped onto the train. Chishang is well known for growing rice and its bento boxes. If you visit before harvesting time you will be able to see beautiful golden paddy fields everywhere, and cycling along the picturesque “Brown Avenue” is a must do.
We we're definitely under-prepared when it came to equipment but the thing is, we travel full time, so we can only carry so much and just can't be prepared for everything but we make it work!
Thanks for the tip. We prefer to enjoy these kinds of experiences on our own. We don't want to be tied to a certain timeframe with a group 💛
Too bad about the weather but beautiful scenery none the less! Glad you had more success the 2nd day. The 1st was just too miserable! Hope you enjoyed Hualien
Merry Christmas (belated) to the bravest couple 💃🕺on UA-cam! Narrow roads, rain, and speeding truck very unsafe. Glad you took the train! Glad trains were then option! Sometimes one can push things a little to far. Better safe than sorry. Love the channel.💜 Please be safe out there and don't get hurt. Cheers 🥡🥡🍵🍵🤠
The train was so nice! but we actually enjoyed riding the second day even if we did get covered in mud 😅 we have a very fond memory of this day and we treat ourselves for Christmas to make up for it!
Well, I mean he did propose on this trip and I do think that made us feel even closer 😊 but everytime we do something like this together it brings us a little closer. We need each other to keep the motivation and good vibes!
It's really too bad. I wouldn't want to ride in that kind of weather. Without the strong winds and rain, it would have been a pleasant ride in Taitung and Hualien in cool to moderate temerpatures. I wish you better weather in the following days and good food as a consolation.
@@MaxandJacqueline How noble of you to not want to get on a train with mud on your back. Realizing that the videos of your journey was shot in December, I hope you'll come back and stay longer and ride in good weather, at least along the east coast. Godspeed and have a wonderful 2025.
So sad, east coast of Taiwan supposed to be most beautiful journey among your circling in Taiwan route, but the weather is terrible😭 in sunny day it's super beautiful but in cloudy day it looks terrible

As a Taiwanese, I'd say it's my first time seeing colorful egg pancakes😲😂 And love the way you finished today muddy and dirty... it was hard at the moment, but looking backward now it's nice and showcases your perseverance!
Yes! Thank you for these kind words. It was hard but really felt accomplished. Really surprised that it was a first for you. Im glad we found it then because it was delicious 🤤 Thank you for watching
Hope you can spent your Christmas Eve in Taipei Xinyi district, is very modern and fun there during Christmas, skyscrapers even lights up color just like Christmas tree

Your both sporting Aussie accents, but I hear a little American in Jaqueline? And Max…somewhere in Europe..,northeast maybe? Where else did yall spend time growing up?
You are the first person to ever nail our accents! Well done! Max grew up speaking French living in Madagascar (and he is French) but then he learnt english in South Africa as a teenager but has lived in Australia for 8 years. So thats quite the mix, well done for picking that up! I am Aussie but live in Canada for a few years working in hospitality, apparently Canadians really struggle with the Aussie accent so I ended up accidentally re-training my accent so they could understand me.. a little twang still sticks around.
Cycling in the mountains is very challenging in the rain and low temperatures. However, the friendliness, food and 7-11 in Taiwan can warm your cold bodies.(It was so funny to see Max shoes fall off 😂😂😂)
Pitaya is a fruit, famous in tropical area, particular in Taiwan. there are red or white color, (red is more sweet than white one. Now is really cold in Taiwan, taking care and keep warm after cycling!!!
The second time we've been scared of traffic on the whole trip which is pretty good when you think how far we have ridden!

🙏 Let's hope so!
It’s kind of chaotic to ride or drive on Taiwan’s roads. Please stay safe.
Not just Taiwan riding on any road is a little dangerous. But Taiwan has actually felt safe the majority of our trip ☺️
Taiwan has a shoe brand called VTex that sells waterproof shoes. They definitely keep my feet dry when I'm visiting home!
Oh cool we should probably check them out 😅
Haha, thanks for watching it was fun in the end and a great story!

It made for great content if nothing else 😂

We we're lucky that even though it was a little wet and a lot muddy it was completely safe to ride that day. So we didn't have a problem riding the final 35km and actually enjoyed it.
Who doesn't like a random dinosaur!
I know!! Haha there was quite a few actually 🤩😂
Great tip! We just didn't have that available.
Where’s my “good morning beautiful people?”😂
oh no haha, I can't believe we didn't say it!
