It was a crazy find for sure. I was hoping I could at least find a carb body somewhere but, the full carb was of course even better lol. - I know this vid was a bit longer so, I’m happy you and others have enjoyed it 🩷
Nice Port Work Bubba !! Can't wait to see it ripn !!! I wana do that to my O.S. .12 CV-R... but it's still brand new... I think I will run it stock 1st... then do some fangs, and see how it responds.
Thanks Texas 💜 All the CV-R engines are great! It's awesome that you have a new 12CV-R - It will be fun to see if this 15CV-R wakes up a bit more with the sleeve Mods (time will tell). It is already a pretty good platform for the car. - I plan to have a POV Adventure with the car/engine in the future so, stay tuned
I’m lookn’ forward to the spring time to get her back on the road. Plan is to have an update vid at that time - The Purple RS4 was my very first nitro way back when. She has had other engines but, the 15 CV-R has been a great combo. I’m happy that they get to stay together a little while longer 🩷
Great job and very informative video! Looking forward to see this engine running again and it would be nice to see a video, dedicated on the carb refresment! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Thanks for watchn’ 🩷 and I’m glad you enjoyed it - Snow is here but, I’m excited too to get the engine back in the car and try it out. There will be a POV adventure in the spring/summer some time - I am planning on cleaning up the old carb and keeping it as a spare at min but, I’m not confident that the body will be save-able (the is a very small idle screw) but, we will see
Thanks for watchn’ Steve 🩷 - If you are referring to the old school Zip tie idea, yes it is a very effective and inexpensive way to give a little bit of protection to your head. I and many other like yourself, have been doing it for years I appreciate you taking the time to comment 💯 always feel free to reach out
Thanks Tony ‼️ I’m glad you enjoyed it. It took a little longer to get everything completed for the vid but, it turned out well - I’m excited to get her fired up and on the road but, will need to wait for the spring to come around to drive. There will be an update vid down the road
NICE job as always. Mods looked great as well. Dont forget to condition your carb Boot. I'm keene to detail as well. Looking to the Rip vid. Take care Buddy 👊
Thanks OFNAGuy for watchn’ 🩷 I’m glad you liked the vid - The carb will definitely get disassembled, cleaned and lubed before use for sure. Just like new engines, carb have to get the same attention. That could be a whole other vid by itself lol - There will be an update vid in the spring for sure. I’m excited to get her back on the road but, there is a bunch of snow here atm
@@joedoran6994 Honesty, both would be a good choice for the 12CVR. - I have a HPI 12RSS (the 12CVR direct competition) on my XXXNT. It is a great balance of power for the platform - I don’t think you could go wrong with either choice ‼️ Keep me updating if you can
@@a2rc it’s what I’m thinking plus I have a CVEC fitted to the gt so it really screams no matter what engine I put In it once had a nova m12 in it was insane wish I could find a new sleeve for it I’d run it again I got the engine in a parts lot so didn’t last long also the head button was slightly stripped from the previous owner do getting a glow plug too go in straight was a nightmare even if it was the nova plugs

Howdy OFNAGUY 😁 - I have been formally involved in hobby grade RCs for 25+ years now but, I have always had interest in RC (from a young kid). I wish I still had some of my first toy grade RCs (just for fun). My favorites were TYCO cyclone 6x6 and the Typhoon hovercraft. Both were epic, from what I remember lol - Do you still have some of your very first RCs (non hobby grade)? Thanks for taking the time to write and for watchn’ 🩷
That's pretty sweet having a cooling fan in the flywheel.
Great vid again. I also use a lot of cotton swabs but deffinitely not thousands. Thanks for sharing 👊

My cvr15 runs much better with a mip pipe and drill some metal out of the exhaust port and it will haul ass 😎👍
