Fantastic video. Congratulations on the new bow and arrows!
Thank you very much!
You can tell he loves his job and archery
Great looking bow, love that the tips aren't straight like most manchus, arrows are beautifull aswell🤓 Great job to all people involved in making these🙌
They overdid themselves this time!
Love the look of it! Thanks for sharing
Dude those arrows are awesome! 👍🏻🏹
I love them. And they fly as they look!
Im in love with this channel now o.o Straight up man-crush ^^
Did you ever see those "Most Interesting Man in the World" commercials by the beer brand Dos Equis? You would be such a great candidate if they ever decided to bring that back.
This is an awesome review. Is there any way that you'd be able to do a chronograph test for this? There are so few tests done with actual hornbows, particularly legitimate Qing designs. It would be such valuable information to have out there. According to Mark C. Elliott in "The Manchu Way" published by Stanford University Press in 2001 (pages 179 & 180) this bow would be approximately a "5 strength bow".
"…In comparison, the 500 troops at the small Dezhou garrison acquitted themselves with honor, all of them being able to take a five-strength bow [67 pounds], 203 a six-strength [80 pounds], 137 a seven strength [93 pounds], and 85 a ten-strength bow [133 pounds]."
This bow being an actual military strength bow would be very cool to see speed tests alongside arrow weights if that is something you would be up to.
I hope you keep making videos, this is a wonderful channel with an awesome vibe.
Beautiful bow and exquisite arrows 🙏
Many thanks!
An Eames chair and a wall of bows. A man after my own heart. Nice Manchu also
😊 thank you
This is an absolute beauty. Cheers to you
Thanks! I hope you will join CAP and try the bow.
👍👍👍
Beautiful!
Beautiful equipment.
Thanks! I enjoy it a ton!
Nice!!
Gorgeous Alan!
Many thanks!
Beautiful looking but, why the bow arrived strung?
Most of bowers I know suggest keeping their Manchu bows strung all the time. I have one bow from the same bower strung since 2022 didn't loose a pound. And a lighter bow from another bower strung since 2017 🙈
powerful!
I love the tiger stripes
Lee did an amazing job. Looks like a museum artifact!
I use green bamboo my self for arrows to practice and they are much heavier then my 700 grain arrow by a lot they get hard to carry after. A while but fun to shoot
Liked and subscribed. Awesome specimen. Where can I buy
Thanks! I ordered it through Zhang Lifei. You could reach him in FB.
Where did you buy your Manchu arrows?
The arrows are from Hu Lei. You can find him on FB
🔥 "Promosm"
Very interesting.
Do you have a straw makiwara in the room? Did you build it or buy?
I bought makiwara and built the frame. It's mobile and easy to handle. Although quite heavy and can handle abuse 😂
What kind of target is that? Looks nice
That thing called makiwara in Japanese. I've just posted about it :)
It arrived strung? :O
Yes, the bower asks to keep his mows always strung.
@@alantheadventurer any reason?
I don't know. There are quite a few bowers in China who require the same.
Приветствуют, из какой птицы перья на стрелах?
Доброго, оперение из маховых перьев фазана.
@@alantheadventurer Благодарю 🤝
