You can’t help but notice Tony’s underlying gratitude n respect for Phil. Tony wii always be the Cornerstone of the Band. Steve n Peter are so wonderful in their places too.
Phil did play the song to the band, and they turned it down as a genesis work. Phil finished it an put it on his solo album. Tony heard the final version by Phil, and said "It Was Perfect!" Phil's version, couldn't have been improved on. Not even by Tony an Mike. 🎉😢 Phil kept it simple! Tony said, Sometimes you can work on a song, and muddy it up, in the end. He said that's what might have happened, if Genesis took it up, as a work. Tony knew not to touch it. The Invisible Touch! Even Hackett agreed - Please Don't Touch...😮😅
Banks wasnt involved with the end of that song. . . He could have screwed it up had he followed it go its conclusion. Its about not stifling the creative processes. Collens worked allone a lot. And They all enriched our lives with the collaborate musical song. . . Its about yhe feeling of letting go of what would drag up beyound the bounty of life.
Those things outside the boundaries of life are those things that would erase humanity. Avoid such things and you will go farther. There is an old proverb that says, the slower you go the farther you will get. It is applicable.
Nah, there's a lot of myths about this band, I've come to realize most of them are very untrue, especially the one about Tony being an asshole and a diva. If you watch interviews with all the members, they are extremely civil and kind with eachother, joke together, and admit when they've been wrong in the past, Tony included. Mike and Tony also admitted to being extremely unempathetic and unsympathetic to Peter when his wife and child were having health issues, and they were expecting him to juggle the band while all this was going on. After Peter and Steve left the band, things settled down and they all became extremely understanding when any of them were having difficulties, and they also became a lot more of a democracy with their song writing.

Genesis
One of MY FAVORITE bands😎
Mas são muito meigos e lindos! É claro que, quem faz os meus olhos brilharem é o grande Phil. Mas eu amo a todos.
He's straight up, nothing but the truth. When they became 3, it was perfect.
Phil only has a couple more years if he's lucky. Unfortunately we'll be hearing about his death soon. Hopefully not.
Tony banks es un genio de genios un extraclase un total fuera de serie

What would drag us down should be allowed to fall away. . . We cannot carry it with us and it must be left on the surface.

Bullshit. Tony is the soul of Genesis.
