    Love the scale details of this model!!😊💯 The 5-bladed rotorhead and twin tailrotor system! Wow 😳 Also the functional, 4 doors are too much! What a kit!!😳 All that needs to complete this wonderful, detailed model, is too find a small scale turbine engine too install into the rear canopy!! That would rule!!!

    I had a similar Hughes md 530 I think in a trex 250 years ago but was a regular flybar set up and the doors didn't open but it was a joy to fly. Great little scale bird you have there though!! So nice

    Hello,
    To make the cascade tail i used two set of Align 250 TAIL BLADE GRIPS, modified plastic ball links, and make a new shaft using an Align 1mm Allen tool, the shaft had exactly the same diameter of the tool, just need to dismount the belt gear of the original shaft, easy work, just need a bit of patience.

    Wow..The OH6. My dad used to work on those. Years ago I worked at an army surplus warehouse and they 12 crates of engines for this series. I asked the boss to wait til Friday (payday) so I could buy one for $75. On Monday, all happy to buy with money in my hand, he said the whole lot sold for $1,500. I was really disappointed. Figures, Monday. :(

    parabéns!!!! muito bom trabalho. Para eliminar o problemas de vibração, a primeira coisa é o balanceamento estáticos de todas as partes dinâmicas e, depois o track das pás...

    @stot2614 14 років тому

    @krumrick2 Ok... got you. That is true about the increased performance resistance with more blades... what is the approximate headspeed then? Just curioius. Btw... I am buying a Gootch SE V2 (T-Rex clone) on Friday/Saturday. I will have a video up as soon as I can as I won't be able to fly where I normally would due to class size difference. I am so excited! :D

  • @krumrick2
    @krumrick2  14 років тому

    @stot2614
    I know I know....I promisse don't do this again...was just to show how easy to fly is this litle bird !.
    Btw...the HS is really slow, because the five blades you have extra lift and the four blades on the tail give you a good tail authority even with slow RPM's.

    Sem palavras para seu modelo, muito bonito e as portas com a maçaneta um detalhe de encher os olhos, muito bonito mesmo e esse rotos com cinco pás, eu acho incrivel, o rotos trazeiro não é com uma peça unica né , vc sobrepoem dois rotores, não da pra fazer um rotor unico com 4 pás?, abraço.

    O rotor de cauda e de um tipo usado no heli real e principalmente no famoso helicoptero de ataque APACHE.
    Eu fiz uma copia fiel do original, são dois rotores linkados, se chama rotor em CASCADA ( cascade em ingles).

    the tail rotor has an independent brushless motor that makes the scale md500 easier to assemble and transmitter up.

  • @jsugar72
    @jsugar72 12 років тому

    thats outstanding - amazing detail - i wonder if an align afs gyro would help you in getting more scale flights? i have a 250 also and that thing is simply to light - any disturbance in the wind that helicopter reacts it just the way it is. conversely, the 700's I've flown is like flying a cadillac in the air lol..

    Nice comment, in fact I like to talk about this, the size of this project is good for many reasons, you don't need to expend to much time and need only a small space to work....nice litle project !.

  • @stot2614
    @stot2614 14 років тому

    @krumrick2 That is correct. Until the U.S. supplier went out of business, I had a viable cp heli in my Thunder Tiger Innovator EXP, but since parts are extremely hard to find for that model now, I am having to buy that T-Rex clone I spoke about before. By the way, thanks for subscribing/friending me! :)

    I think aprox. HS of 1800/ 1900...in the video the high mechanics noise come from the vibrations in the tail, already working to solve this.
    Please send link of your video, is always good to know new mechanics, never hear about the Gootch SE before.

    @bananenfische
    Will answer in steps:
    1) the rotorhead is custom made with Align Blade grips only.
    2) the blades are Plastic 205mm Align modified with narrow chord.3
    3) to invert the rotation I took off the one way bearings then install upside down.
    4) the door handle are custom made
    5) the FBL system is the Align 3G, need to improve a bit yet, this video was only a test.
    Soon I will post a video with the building steps, with many photos of the process, hope that help in your project.

    I love it... just don't scare us next time in catching that cp heli in mid-air like that, please! That is ceratinly something I wouldn't do with headspeed in the 2,000-3,000 rpm area. :O

  • @superbearfur
    @superbearfur 10 років тому

    Why did the tail rotors stop moving when the main rotors were still moving?

    • @quakermaas
      @quakermaas 9 років тому

      SuperBearFur There is a one way bearing that drives the main rotor shaft, when the motor stops and drive to the main and rear rotors stop, then the one way bearing lets the main rotor spin freely, this is very useful for auto rotation (emergency landing without power), but for this size helli it is hard to do auto rotation as the blades are very light and hold very little kinetic energy.
