A question for you sir......how would you feel about supergluing the landing gear to the pegs?? Do you fell it would ruin the integrity of the toy?? Also, is your Falcon haunted?? Does it wake you up in the middle of the night making random laser sounds?? Also, am I the only one who thinks they should have included those three cargo containers Hondo is standing next to in the box art?? So many questions......

I still have the original release version of this toy. I remember opening it up Christmas morning and freaking out. Of course now, all of the landing gear, missiles, and a few panels are missing but I REALLY want to make it complete and display it.

I got the re-release one of it with the Legacy Millennium Falcon 🙂🤘🙂 I got it back in 2007 at Toys R Us best purchase ever , mom bought it and said this is your only Christmas gift this year lol it was $168.00 then so I said deal , one big thing/gift at the cost of multiple smaller gifts ......WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT 😎😎😎🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎

Never owned one back in the day, but a few months back I scored a MISB 2010 Legacy Collection version, which I still have in the box at the moment. So cool. I could see a weathered re-issue being a nice step up, just like this Falcon is.

I love how in 1980 when I wanted my boba fett figure to have an actual missle shooting out of his backpack it got taken away and now those things are all over this toy. Give us ALL the choking hazards! By the way, I want your job!
Anyone else’s parents sell or get rid of there toys growing up? I know I have had friends parents get rid of He-Man’s, Transformers, etc. I guess it was a part of growing us for us Generation X kids from the 80s. Great review Cooltoy. Lol tell your wife not to sell your toys lol.
I gave my entire He-Man collection to some underprivileged kids who lived around the corner from me back in ‘89. Skull Castle was in there, with fresh batteries for its mic. They didn’t say much but took the bags and started playing there and then (5 kids iirc). I don’t know why I did that to this day but I don’t regret it
Fantastic review. Mine arrived last week with just very minor box warping, nothing really compared to your damage. I’m not worried after seeing how well protected the ship is with the carton packing. Still haven’t opened mine yet...just enjoying the box art. Need to find a big setup space like you did, and then a few hour block of time to get it all put together. Have no idea yet where I’m going to put it though for display and fun playing with. Dang it’s so cool! Yea, by far the most expensive “toy” I’ve ever bought, but holy moly this thing is incredible!
In 1980 my mom got me the original Kenner Millennium Falcon. It was one of my favorites out of all my Star Wars toys. I then gave it away in 1983 to a younger friend because I was getting older and no longer playing with toys. I regret giving it away to this day. Although that price killed me at this time, I needed this ship again. It just arrived today and I couldn’t be happier. It’s not the original but I have it again, and I won’t be giving this one away.
Hope you’re satisfied with it. I watched some videos of that original Falcon just to refresh my memory on it...I believe I’d be happy with this new one instead, although I’m aware that yours will have a huge nostalgia factor to it also
Its funny when you first opened the box my first thought was, I really wish they would have done something more with the paint job/finish. And then right when it gets to the close ups you see all the marks and aging of the ship. Such a fun set dude. I love when I can get into the cabins on ship/vehicle sets. At least on the big ones. Overall it looks amazing and love all the features.
I got this when it was part of the Legacy Collection for $60 back in 2010. I weathered it to make it look more movie accurate. Great piece in my collection.
I regret that I passed on that legacy collection set when it first came out in 2010. Been regretting that ever since, which was another of the reasons I convinced myself to pick this one up.

I get that things like dinged boxes are disappointing to MOB collectors, but at some point there's a limit to what can reasonably be done about it. If they're shipping it in a dedicated mailer box, that's about all you can ask.
i want the lego version of this because u can lift the top not just the doors so u can look at the interior and yes play with it lol but yea it's so cool, however not the $799.00 price tag.
I got mine today. Had it shipped to store to avoid usps damaging it in route. Still came in crushed box on all sides. Returned it less than 20 minutes later. Really want it but I’m sure it will always come damaged. So I’ll save my $400 for a PS5.
Great review! If it would put anybody else at ease, my original BMF legs were not sturdy either. They were good enough to hold the ship up and pop in easily but if I were to lift it up they would fall out sometimes..... So to me that's nothing new as far as that part of the review goes.

I’m not a scalper. I just wanted the new paint wash, and the TVC box. I never paid for the TRU exclusive box (I had that box with my Falcon as a kid), I had the Legacy box. I may just keep it boxed, for now. If I don’t keep it I’ll return it. If I sold it, it’d be for what I paid for it.

Han Solo being one of the main characters has been released several times in the past two years as part of the Vintage Collection. Yes, the figures have been re-released. Nobody has questioned that. I was talking about the frequency in which they are re-released. You cannot sell the same figures many times over in a two or three year period. Sorry to tell you but the Vintage Collection line is not for little kids and most certainly the Falcon is not. These “toys” are made for collectors. If you want to give your kids a birthday present there are cheaper options available. This Falcon is made to be displayed not to be played with and destroyed by a kid who doesn’t appreciate its value.
I don't like this Disney kind of stuff. Must be a hell of an experience, this Smuggler's Run, but they have f***** up the entire franchise. It seems that this Falcon has a lot of issues, so you buy an expensive toy and get s***. My absolute to own SW toy? Mhhhh.... must be something vintage. Not the Imperial Shuttle, a lot of issues with the wings, but I would like a perfect, not discolored vintage MF. Has such more playability than the modern ones. Who wants to spend money on these effects? Imagination is the important part playing with a toy.

it really is amazing, the only downside is now I have to find a way to display it properly. That's going to be a real challenge.

The cockpit dimensions are extremely skewed. The figures barely fit and when its closed the heads are almost touching the windows.
