Just got mine last week. I got a notification on my phone from Target that it was back in stock at 3 a.m. and jumped on it. So expensive and I really couldn’t afford to spend the money now but I’m so glad I did. I had the original when I was 10 back in 1980. I’m really happy to have it again, it’s my favorite ship from the movies.
I bought this same ship in 2008 when it was $150. It came with Han and Chewy, obviously no sequel dish, and all the SFX were from A New Hope or Empire.
One day I plan on adding the Galaxy's Edge Falcon to my collection, this is the best review/unboxing video on this Falcon I've ever seen, I didn't know you could switch between voice clips from Galaxy's Edge and the Classic ones. So awesome
I had one like that back in 1979. It was my favorite of all my Star Wars toys. I can’t believe you were able to get your hands on one. That is amazing!
In my original one, I burned a few plastic posts and created an actual walkway between the cockpit and the main area. I lined the walls with painted cardboard. I wish I knew what happened to it.
I believe we got one just like this back in 2008! The original sound effects sound extremely similar to it, along with the lay out and especially that escape pod. Cool to see it came with new sound effects and not just a straight up rerelease. Nice review!
@@Valenni Yup. I had a Legacy falcon and ripped out the electronics to put into the highly accurate 29 inch Falcon that was sold in Wallmart. Gave it to a neighbors kid after I finished my Deagostini Falcon.
Just made the same comment. It looks identical to the legacy Falcon. Aside from the extra sounds, dish, figures and packaging. Was way cheaper though.. £120 at Toys R Us and I was lucky to have picked one up for half price. They now fetch £800-£1k from what I’ve seen on eBay?!
Hello there. Great review. It convinced me to pay nearly a grand for a brand new one off of ebay. But i do have a question... those three red containers Hondo is standing next to on the box art.....are they included?? Cos I sure did not receive them!!
Thanks for checking out the video. The three red containers were part of the promotional art but were not part of the accessories in the box. Congrats on getting one!
I just put mine together last night and I’m very pleased on how great it looks! The only downsides: the landing gear pops out easily, if you put it on a soft surface and putting on the decals was a pain, because of the tight spaces. Other than that, it looks great. It makes my large size Imperial Shuttle look tiny and easily competes in size with my AT-AT.
Congrats! I am trying to find a angled stand to put this on. This thing is a spacehog! It brings back so many childhood memories. So glad i was able to pick it up, well worth it. Congrats!!
i had the vintage one back in the day and it was my favorite. I picked up a POTF version years ago and was satisficed with that as a substitute. That was until the Legacy version was released. I was at the store the day it hit the shelves! I wish I had bought a few HA HA. As for this version, I would have went for it despite it costing more than three times the cost of the Legacy Falcon back in 2008, but I am satisficed with what I have and I don't have the space for two!
My uncle gave me the Hasbro Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon a few years ago, I still have it, he also gave me a set of 3d printed landing gear. It is my favorite vehicle in my Star Wars Collection. I've been a subscriber for a month, great videos, keep up the good work
I have this, but the one that came out.... 12 years ago I think. Before Disney gobbled them up maybe. So no swappable radar dish, and it came with Han, and no porgs, lol. Otherwise identical.
I just need to find a few pieces for mine, I got really lucky and picked up the ship and most of the part's for $50 so I was very happy with that. Having it sit next to my original Vintage one really shows off the size.
@@MCECentral the Razor Crest is really cool looking, I don't have it just seen it :). I was thinking of doing a custom build with my Falcon as it's the 2008 Legacy one after seeing what the part's I'm missing are going for I had a choice of 3D one's or turn the Falcon into another type of YT-1300 light freighter.
The apex collectible. I love this piece so much. I have the 2012 variant and for the past 8 years have oogled it daily. My new 2020 one comes in next week and I just might snuggle in bed with it.
Wow, this is the first time I ever heard of this Vintage Collection Millenium Falcon. Love all the detail! It's so much more detailed than the original Kenner toy for 3.75" figures. I hope Hasbro puts this out again in a few years.
This looks so cool, I really have to dig out my old starwars stuff out of my moms attic, i got tons of stuff, i have one of the original one of these.. i haven't laid eyes on it in 30 years or more.. i hope its all in good condition, i here this stuff is going for good money.. i might have a small fortune
This is awesome. I recently started building models, and $400 bucks is a good price for this replica. If you bought the model the lighting kit and the sound card and paint would be more than that, Not to mention maybe 2 months or more to build it yourself. Im gonna get one of these for my collection
This is a very practical outlook to take, and I agree. Yes it is pricey, but it quickly becomes a reasonable proposition when considering building one from sourced parts.
Though I am not that level of collector to have this, I recently ordered the next best thing. The Mission Fleet version. I started a mini collection of that line of some of the more iconic ships.
What year did this come out of? I have one I got in the 90's I think, the box had open parts where you could see the ship . Mine is still in the package i didn't have time to play with it, but it held action figures and opened up so you could access the inside I think. Oh my god this is much better, the ramp goes down?? Mine had some figures can't remember which ones
I have that same ship. It came out years ago but only came with the circle dish and came with Chewie and Han. I don’t think I had to put any stickers on it but it has been a while. I guess it only has classic mode sounds which is all I need. It has all of the lights and sounds. Including lights inside. The ramp that lights up too. Everything is the same essentially but it cost about $250 if I remember correctly.
Please Help!! For 16 minutes I felt like a kid! Thanks! Enjoyed your video. Enjoyed u open the box and assembling the Falcon. I bot the millennium falcon at a estate sale , no box. Has the radar, ramp underneath works perfectly. How do I get the lights in back to work. Where do the batteries go?? Mine is a little more grayish tint to it, like its dirty, but its not dirty. Also, where on the ship can I find the mfg??? Anyhoot, appreciate if someone could tell me how to get lights in back to work. Thanks!
Awesome review...but my issue was the stickers! At this day in age it should be all painted...i absolutely hate putting on stickers...they always show crooked when i try.
Congratulations!! That ship is a masterpiece... I wish i would of bought in 2009 , now this is worth like 400 dollars i beleive ,enjoy it!! Keep the box for collection
George!! I'm going to buy one of these two... Sideshow The Child or the first Hot Toy Mandalorian... and I have the second one with Child coming too. Which would you buy? :)
Hi There! I was watching your video and noticed after you put the landing gear together, did you install a 2nd gun turret as is it functional? Regards Tim from UK
This is is AMAZING but the price :( It was more than the Haslab Razor Crest and I could only get one. Hopefully when I am able to put more money together I will be able to find one .
@@MCECentral It's a big build. Best to take your time and enjoy it. All I can say is when you get to the ramp, don't lose any of those tiny, tiny silver pieces. They're so small and they don't give you any replacements.
I had the original as a kid; also had the Death Star. What memories.
You picked the right radar dish I’m getting this for Christmas and the sequel trilogy radar dish will be staying in the box
This is the way!

What scale is it?
I find it disproportionate.
Great acquisition:)

There is only one radar dish for the Falcon. End of discussion.
Just a guy enjoying what he does. Mad respect
Keep the inner packaging - that can become the backstreets of Mos Eisley right there.

If only I still had the Star Wars toys from when I was a kid, man!
you are not lying there... I would be rich today if I had taken better care of my toys...

Looks awesome! for $400 they could've included a han solo fig too. Your reaction to this ship is why I collect! Keep up the great content.
Its $500
$400 it should've included 10 stormtroopers too
Wow that's a lot more expensive than the one I got in the 90's, it came with some figures
That made me so happy seeing the back lights go blue like that.
Used to have this as a kid. Glad they brought it back
