Great video. I like how you picked a goal like "trust" which could be abstract to some, but in fact you can be strategic about gaining trust. I've found this activity works well with design teams, but some workshops I've done with cross-functional teams have been a bit clumsy. It's amazing how many people who work in tech are scared of pencils! I hadn't thought of doing this solo... I think I have enough personalities to make that work ha ha

Hey Mizko, I do this a little differently. When we share the ideas around in the group, we then go ahead and repeat crazy 8s as we get inspired by each other’s ideas which can prompt an event better idea and we use all the crazy 8s to do dotmocracy!

I do Crazy 4 😀 most times...Crazy 8 is so time consuming if you work with a larger team, I find.

    • @Mizko

Crazy 4 is just as good :) Generally once you become more experienced, you'll have enough inventory in the back of your mind!

    Amazing content Mizko!
Whilst working in isolation can we show our 8 ideas to the client and have them choose the one they think is the best? or shall we choose one by ourselves?
(I'm a newbie designer so I don't know the best approach)

    • @Mizko

Keep it to yourself or else you’ll end up spending days going back and forth with iterations.
Focusing on using this to come up with the best solution. Then only present that 👌🏼

I was always thinking that I shouldn't spend time on the content or user flow in Crazy 8s! Isn't crazy 8s only exploring layout sketches in UI?

  • @heathermaupin6860
    @heathermaupin6860 2 роки тому

After doing the the crazy 8s do you do further detailed sketching, sketched wireframes, or straight to working a wireframe out in Figma? Thank you.

Hello I have a question regards of purchasing and using templates. Is it ethical if I use the modified template work for my job seeking portfolio and claim it's my work?

sir i just want to start an UI/UX design career (self-learning) but i heard this field is dying means like after 5 years or maybe 3 AI will remplace the ux design is it true ? can you advice me please im so confused...

If you are worrying about being replaced before you've even started, I agree with Daniel - become a doctor.

I'm joking Eni! I really don't believe AI will replace our industry within the next 5 years. AI and machine learning can enhance our work and help us become more efficient - but it won't replace us as a whole.
Now who knows what will happen in 10 years time.
In 10 years, I believe no one will really be designing buttons or inputs anymore. Those will be automated, but there are so many other challenges us UX designers need to solve!
      AI can't solve them all.
This is a great question. I'm going to answer it in a little more detail for you Eni in a new video.
