2022 2023 Volkswagen Atlas How to locate and replace cabin air filter / DIY

My fiance just purchased a Cross sport and one of the recommended services is air cabin filter replacement. I had to look up her filter location(varies on different vehicles). VW was trying to charge her $80.00. I showed her how to replace it. She was even upset about that price

I wonder what those slotted spaces above that compartment are for and that other rectangular piece too.

I read on some forums they said that these slots were for SD card holders and the rectangular one was for the infotainment system.

On the newer models thats where the computer for the infotainment system lives. So if your computer dies they just replace that instead of the whole screen unit, likewise if your screen is damaged they can just replace the screen without the need of replacing the computer. Saving you on the cost and time.
