- In this wideo I talk about my current singlespeed bike set up: the Kona Honzo Ti.
Because it's wicked important for the world to know what a middle-aged totally-retired semi-professional mountain bike racer is riding.

Excellent, your ad libs cracks me up
Glad you're back. Missed your videos and adventures.
Thank you. This review added meaning to my life that I shall cherish and carry to the end of my days.
This is classic material AND it’s leading me down the SS MTB rabbit hole. Cheers 🤘
Great to see you posting wideos again dude !
I’m stoked now. I’m bringing my SS with me to Dedham for a few months and it looks like it’ll be perfect
Glad I found this channel! Love the new England content!
Glad you're uploading again. BeSSt content on the tube
I saw this exact bike pass me multiple times on the climbs at the Witty Fitty. 😂 Tom, you inspired me to get back on a single speed. (2018 Honzo st). Can’t wait for this years fitty!
Hands down Legend! Riding my Moxie mx3 SS.
And is keeping honest. At 50yj loving it !
Your fricken Massachusetts commentary guy haha! I love this
That is one nice setup!
Looks like a lot of fun to ride.
Liking these single speed vids!
Awesome!!! Love your singlespeed content!
Nice SS and great perspective. I totally agree the 29x2.6” with nice wide rim with tire inserts allows carbon to probably be more forgiving. I’ve been using wide tires on wide aluminum rims and tire inserts, it’s perfect for my Ti rigid SS.
Killer bike man! You really got me wanting to try SS.
Both interesting and fun watch! The SS content will keep me coming :D
Love the Honzo
That Honzo frame was a score seeing they quit making them in Ti, would never sell it, just mothball
Yup, I consider myself very lucky. I call it my "forever bike," dorkily enough.
I think you’ve inspired me to run my Karate Monkey single speed. I’ve got a dropper and a 130mm fork ( wicked chunky in AZ too) so it’ll be pretty similar to your rig. I have run rigid out here, it was ok, but I’m over it. BTW-digging the Curious George mug ☕️🤘
Subscribed because I have the same t-shirt. Also I think I watched some fat biking video you put out years ago. Recognized the accent dood. :D - oh - the bikes sweet too!
wicked awesome
I had that year Kona Honzo. Good bike but I like my big box Specialized Fuse better. Better geometry. This guy is great.
damn what a fresh build. Going to look into the airliner for my ss hardtail (ancient 95 lava dome).
So glad your back!
Easily scared hiker on a bike trail - Puts two ear buds in.
Also easily scared hiker - 😡🗣🤬.
Masterpiece, I will never sell it..
Sooo nice bro.. what's the gear ratio of u r bike .kindy reply.😎💐
You gotta do more videos!!
How do you solved the tension problem?
You speak the truth about brakes and pedals lol
Best hardtail Honzo Ti
Keep the SS content coming.
That's an awesome looking setup, thanks for sharing! My Honzo Ti is setup with a 2° angleset and a 130mm Fox 36, which was a great upgrade and allows for a slightly longer fork while keeping the seat angle on the steeper side. Regarding the SSP setup - did you experiment with oval rings up front?
Do you use the airliner on the Barzo/Mezcal combo? Just a newb singlespeeder trying to figure out a fast/lightish but still tough tire combo. Thanks for the info!
I did but I don't anymore. Looking into CushCore.
Did you ever try any boutique titanium brands? Moots, chumba, etc?
You sound like a New Englander. Where do you ride?
Who makes the spacers on your cassette?
Endless Bike.
You spent more on hubs than my expensive wheelset
Did you feel a 120mm too low and that's why the switch?
Originally upped the fork travel during a failed 27.5+ experiment. Did it to raise the BB and keep the head angle consistent. When I went back to 29 I just kept it and decided I liked the extra cush.
Not for nothin'
...I want an ahhhm check on ya biceps, kehd. Lookin' wicked-yoked!
Where do I get one of those shirts?

The green water bottle is messing up the scenery on that bike, please please get an orange one please...🙏
Dude…
A bahstin native on meds. What’s new
Wow, thats alot of effort climbing hills, or it's geared down super slow which makes it useless for urban and normal trail riding... single speed bikes don't sell since most riders like multi gear because there's useful in all types of outtings...
The average person won't be going single speed since its too much effort racking up the miles off road...
Double the effort too cover a 1/4 too a 1/3 of what most folks would log in compared too a multi gear bike...
A multi gear bike allows us too ride all day long and continue the day after since a person never ends up in the burn stage...
Once yha log on some miles a person will appreciate multi gears... That's why 99.9% of bikes have them... You won't find companies putting single speeds on their mtb's or xc race bikes,,, I know id never run one since it would take forever too get anywhere... lol
Just saying is all
