God Bless you lads. I love the different 'patterns' of the DPM as seen in the photos. When I joined the TA back in '79 the browns were a lot lighter then they brought in a darker brown and then the greens became more mustardy. Worst decision ever to disband an over subscribed battalion in 4RGJ....shocking decision. The blokes I knew there said there was utter disbelief.
Why were they nicked named Falling Plate ?
They were not nicked-named that, another regiment called the Green Howards were called 'Falling Plates'.
