Nice video. I have the edge plus 2020. I dropped it a few months ago & was in a case but still shattered the bottom right corner of the display. It wouldn't respond to touch, so I ordered a new screen. Looks like new again, but after I got it all together & sealed, the sound and microphone don't work. I replaced the speaker assembly today with a new OEM one, but still no sound. I would really like to get this phone working again. Do you have any suggestions?
Hello, they changed my screen in a shopping center and it turns on and works, but I see it very opaque, with low brightness I already raised it to the maximum and it still looks like that, as bluish and with light the cell phone does not look good. They say it's normal?
I always mount the tape onto the edge of the screen glass and trim it where needed, since it applies easier than on the frame. Of course it helps to have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 mm 3M wide rolls of tape to match any kind of screen. Oh, it makes me cringe when I see some inject gunky glue instead of high quality double sided tape. Yikes! Also the tape makes it much easier to replace a screen again than having to scrape off all that glue crap.
It's best to have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 mm wide 3M brand rolls of tape to match any kind of screen. They aren't that expensive per roll and lasts for hundreds of jobs.
I'm honestly not sure. I haven't ran into a 4 yet. Could be maybe a different generation or iteration of the same product. I'll have to look into this.
From what I was able to research I don't believe they are compatible. Try Fixez.com they are where I get most of my parts from and it is where I got that screen.
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for
The tape width you’re using would’ve been very helpful.
I dont trust 3M tape, did you had problems with it? Glue seems like a stronger bond.

Sorry I thought I mentioned the year. It is a 2021. You can always double check the model number with websites like GSMArena.com

Those wire snips are not designed for cutting tape.
Yea I know. It's what I had lying around at the time. Couldn't find my normal scissors.
Of all the things to say about such a helpful video and you choose this? Nice.
