Sirima and Uttara - Part 1
Uttara's parents started from being poor laborers and came into massive wealth through the act of making merit.
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.

At least they truly loved each other.
I think the moral of the story is that merit is the best investment.

Love and respect from India 🙏☺️
Thank you so much for your kind effort by bringing us such good videos which makes us want to become better being and hopefully being enlightened.
This is an EXCELLENT video. I loved the line - "Punna worked very hard and even when others took break and days off he would diligently continue his work."
This sentence struck a chord in me as I relate to working hard at my workplace. Reflecting further I realized that my role is to do my job to the best ability I can - focus on the journey not the destination.
I cannot wait for the 2nd and 3rd parts! This is a really great story! I didn't know that Uttara's parents were originally poor!
Thank you! I really like this story.
Thank you 🙏
