I heard a stat I can’t be bothered to verify rn that Alonso could have spent the entire season after the China GP on a yacht and still would’ve outscored Stroll over the 24 race season. Krack, that’s not close m8. In fact, it’s the only gap proportionally bigger than Max and Checo.
Yes if that was true then Mercedes would have been at the top of the championship. They would’ve had the championship constructors. But it’s not true and they weren’t at the top. They were in seventh or six position in the championship before Lewis Hamilton joined them.
Actually, the team was BUILT AROUND Lewis because of the massive engine advantage merc had with the regulation change of 2014. I'd argue Russell has been more of a leader at merc these past few years than Lewis ever was before that.
I had to buy Netflix for a month to watch the football games on Christmas so I decided to watch the last season of drive to survive finally. That first episode about Aston Martin was comical. Papa stroll had the nerve to talk about how bad he wants to win championships and how he’s going to turn them into one of the great teams all while gifting that scrub a seat he doesn’t deserve. The share holders aren’t going to let lance have that seat forever. They have to know he is holding the team back and eventually they are going to start making noise about it.
Aston Martin has been stagnant since the mid 2022, that team needs more than a new facility to get that car faster. Ferrari is taking note from a 7x champion on how to build a car that works and not only some of the time, it seems they are listening to him now a lot more than Merc has been.
Wild theory time: when Max changes team it will be connected to significant ownership of a team and a Le Mans project. If Max thinks long term he will want to win Le Mans and he will want to own a significantly interesting racing team. 😂 imagine Cadillac offers sufficient ownership or Red Bull offers the second team if he stays…

That means 99% of the car not only being changed But being changed to Lewis Hamilton specifications and on the last race of 2024 Mercedes changed the car to Lewis specifications and even next year there might be running the car on Lewis specifications
Alonso, for me, is THE most wasted talent in F1 since the demise of Ayrton and i fear that the Aston shift to success will come way too late for him to capitalise on.

Don’t always agree but you have a good channel.
This is Alonso and Lewis last year. It’s there platinum jubilee in a way. The next generation needs to be promoted for the sport to evolve

Lewis Hamilton didn’t build Mercedes, he just moved there and was the beneficiary of their massive engine advantage.
Shhh. You'll wake the cult.

If the gap between ALO and STR is small, it means that the car is almost at its performance ceiling, which is even more damning!!

They need to give Alonzo a decent team mate! Lance will always bring that team down!

Remember guys: Hamilton fans are still the same fans who 10 years ago they believed he can win Motogp if he wanted to.
Thank you!

Of course they want him to win. Do you think they shelled out the kinda bag they did for him to not win?
Of course Lewis can build a team around him, he's already demonstrated that. Unfortunately, it's not going to stop Charles destroying him next year.
When has he demonstrated that? Mercedes was already built when he arrived and he benefited from a massive engine advantage.
