Lovely played! Been learning a lot from your work Mr Stone and I'm thanking you for that. I'd been playing flute on an amateur basis Since my youth (l'm 46 by now) and exclusively classic kind and my first impro venture on the tenor sax has been quite recently and after a fair amount of frustration I used you solos as a guide and improved so I'm starting enjoying my sax and jazz music as I'm getting more and more familiar with.Thanks again.
I know what you mean about work and family. Never enough time but you sound good when ever you play and you are an inspiration to me and probably most of us that watch your uploads
I love this version! Do you happen to have the music for this? My son will be playing a solo on his sax accompanied by a pianist, and this would be a great option. It's beautiful.
Matthew how are you? Since April that no video not called, I'm missing their interpretations are always very beautiful and well executed. His repertoire is the style I like and I'm always trying to touch these issues. Some are leaving, nothing spectacular, but the more I train, the better you'll get. When can post new videos. Matthew...sometimes the best thing you can "bring to a tune" is to play the beautiful melody in a beautiful way (check out Harry Allen's version of "Chelsea Bridge" on UA-cam as an example). You have a very pleasant sound....nice and relaxed and your solos are very appropriate! I always enjoy hearing what you're working on....
***** Well...at least you have the courage to put your music up here. I haven't gotten the courage to do this yet...even though I've played sax for 53 years now...and am active in the Tampa, Florida area...
