Will it work just as good w/ the adhesive on the back of the mount already ? Like, put the Sugru on the adhesive, cover it basically...and then attach the mount + sugru to the helmet...
My visor socket broke on me the other day so i had to replace it with the only thing i thought would work other than duct tape... SUGRU, By god it worked. Would of picked up the popped out clamp from the road but when your doing 90 its kinda hard to predict where tf it is.
I’ve done this many times on multiple helmets and I’d recommend putting masking tape on the helmet, then when set, remove the tape and put a 3M backing on the sugu/helmet meeting point, allows you to sand and paint the sugu if needed before the final mount to helmet.
Thank you!
Perfect!
Nice and clear instructions. Thanks. I had to mute the music though - it was kinda annoying.

Nope, 3M has trouble bounding to Sugru
