Dan actually handled it so well, like a mature men. I will forever stand by the fact that he is much more mature in relationships than Chuck and Nate combined

Idk how people hated this ship… this scene alone showed so much growth from both of these two. Blair was annoying in this clip (and I looove her crazy ass) but she really showed remorse and sense of evolution by the end of this scene. And Dan was a lot more compassionate instead of being judgmental or condescending… wow I hate that they did these two sooo very dirty 🙄 this opposites attract dynamic is wildly more engaging and imo healthier than the toxic ON/OFF again with chuck💀

Because it was... 2009? I don't know but was this written today Dan and Blair would be everyone's favorite couple. Problem with GG is the "getting together" of them two was too messy and mishandled, probably because they just wanted to get it over with and then reunite Blair with Chuck 💀 Something which to me looked stupid because Blair wasn't as impressionable anymore, the only way that could've worked is if s6 had focused on the codependency that Blair has with Chuck and that it isn't necessarily "epic love". Dan could get her through that and Serena could help as some sort of redemption so they could all be friends again. Chuck wouldn't get what he wants because he is arguably the worst person . Instead we have Blair acting as if Dan doesn't exist and like it's s1 again, Dan going back to Serena who kind of assaulted him and she took him back even though she knows Dan loved her best friend over her.... In other words they had to write everyone out of character to fit what they wanted to happen.
