"Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day." Fantastic movie and fantastic quote.
I love this quote, to me, it applies to everything you do in life. “Once more into the fray” means “here we go again”. “Into the last good fight I’ll ever know” means “to treat the task/event at hand as if it were your last”. “Live and die on this day”, means “to give it you’re all to you have nothing left”. That is what it means to me, it’s beautifully inspiring
@@erickcardenas3131 That's exactly what it means Erick, thanks for your insight, it will help people put it into perspective, as from the outside of your explanation to the surface of the actual quote, it can mean quite a lot of things. All I know, is he knew his time was up but he wasn't gonna go out without wolf blood on his knuckles.
The best thing i heard in my life. Since then my life isnt the same. It guides me through the worst seas and strongest winds and let me tell you something. Nothing will stop me.Nothing 💪 Just fight people, fight with your own hearth and mind.
About 2 and a half years ago, I listened to this song every day at work while I was battling some of the darkest thoughts of my life. Please know that even though life doesn’t get easier, you get better. Stay strong. You are loved. I love you and this world would not be the same without you in it.
From soldier to soldier you're never alone in the darkness, there's always a light somewhere that leads us along the way. It's our job to make sure to keep our strength to find the light in the darkest of times.
To me "The Grey" is the greatest survival movie that's ever been made, it's perfect, nothing can beat it's appeal, the background score, the plot and above all Liam's barritone to recite that unbelievable poetry...i have watched it more than 100 times...and everytime it offered something new...movies should be made in a way that it gives an ever lasting impression upon psyche, THE GREY certainly belongs to that category, it's a masterpiece...must watch for everyone, it's a life lesson...
The Grey made a strong and lasting impression on me. Her stunning beauty, the drip and this poem, each and every time they bring me to the brink of tears.
@logangoulet7522 what better than to recite.... Once more into the fray, Into the last good fight I'll ever know, Live and die on this day... Live and die on this day... to conclude the journey of life...
Liam wasn’t fighting wolves, he was fighting himself. He found out just how much he was willing to fight for his life. He chose not to give up but to live on this day
Even in the book it's not clear that the wolves are real or the demons of their lives chasing them. Fantastic book and movie. And the music. My man. It's the cherry on top. ❤
@@aaronpacho8069 It's a short novel. Originally was named Ghost Walker but since the movie it's called like the movie The Grey. By Ian Mackenzie Jeffers. Similar to the movie but a bit different. Give a try.
Some ppl say his fight was in his head as when he sits down by the tree the next shot we see of him is walking and then fighting the wolves fantastic ending non the less and overall one of Liam Neesons best movies
The idea of showing a man fighting to the bitter end and has nothing to hold onto is so eye opening, I’m captivated by how Liam’s character doesn’t give up. The last fight comes at him head on too, such a true picture of how the struggle hits. It’s amazing how the theme of the story is living on borrowed time and fighting to stay alive.
This is by far one of the most emotionally impactful scores I've ever heard for any film. Without it, the Grey would not be as good as it is. A highly underrated film of the struggles of mankind to overcome our own fallacies. A masterpiece of a score. Well done.
When that first piano chord hits, it resonates my bones with memories of my childhood, moments and choices of my present, and the sad acceptance that I'll die some day.
You’ve been dead for billions of years, right now is your spark of life within the universe. Appreciate it for what it is. Do not be sad that it has to end, but be happy that it happened at all. Wish you all the best👍
If Liam Neeson can be on the verge of suicide and still manage to fight an Alpha wolf while beaten, bloodied and exhausted. You can fight your depression every day. 3 Years Later Edit: I would like to just say that yes a fictional movie and real life are completely different, I myself have gone through so much in the last 3 years and have felt desperate like I've never felt in my entire life. I feel like sometimes life takes a lot out of people and sometimes others won't be there to help you stand back up. But I firmly believe that every day is a gift and if you keep with it despite all the tragedy, you find a silver lining that will never leave your heart. Live well and much respect to all of you.
while i applaud and somewhat agree with the bravery and drive behind your comment....its just not that simple and easy for everyone. that was a movie. this life is fucking cruel and immeasurably difficult at times. so while i wanna stand there by your side...so driven...so strong willed....i will have to stand behind you and hope the wind that passes by you gives my dying soul hope...otherwise the footsteps of your valor will fade. thank you though...someone out there needed to read that. unfortunately not everyone can stand and see eye to eye with you. take care brother...
@@bagzy868 Well, actually, Nelson was himself in a very bleak place when this movie was filmed. His pregnant girl friend was tragically killed in a skiing accident in 2009, and I recall him mentioning in an interview somewhere that one of the reasons he took the role was because the lead's experiences hewed so close to his own.
That reminded me of this quote by Winston Churchill: If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.
I lost my 5 kids to the state of South Dakota it took me two years to get my kids back and I went through the darkest darkest tunnels of my life. I developed depression PTSD anxiety you name it but I never gave up I never quit I wanted to I tried but I'm still here and I got my kids back. This movie is amazing to me and my kids THE WOLF PACK
dude when that piano hits....just straight chills. The ending was so true. Face to Face with your situation... live and die on this day...live and die on this day!
Liam made this film just after his wife passed away. It must have been very cathartic to play this role at such a trying time. Knowing this, I can see that his acting was heartfelt and painful. XOXO Liam Neeson. ❤
The amount of emotion the people put into this sound track is truly amazing and mesmerising. Such a wonderful soundtrack and amazing story this is my favourite movie of all time.
This song has helped me ALOT with depression, it is comforting, relaxing but also somewhat feel of sadness in a good way. I love this song since the movie came out.
It's about fighting. And for how wet and broken modern life makes people. How meak, weak, narcicistic and ungrateful many are now. Once upon a time...your ancestor one by one. Beat famine. Beat disease. Beat the wilderness. Stood on a battlefield with a sword and fought, your ancestors were survivors and winners. You wouldn't be here otherwise. So search your DNA and find what they gifted you. You owe it to them. Is how I see the theme life and the sadness within this music is the tragedy of our existence in sorrow before we find the ability to fight again.
This song brings back the exact memories of watching this incredible movie. I was in college, just finished writing a paper, decided to open my laptop on a cold winter's night and watch this movie. I remember all the feelings I had about the movie and life at that exact moment. Sometimes I wish I could go back there.

Too Cool I’m dealing with this deepressing shit since 17 year old and now I’m 21 !!! I feel like I will never ne good enough for someone or for something !! Don’t having anyone to talk about how I feel for my life ..... made me think so many times about suicide.....
stfu, nobody in this world is important and you are not special. nobody is special, and nobody gives two donkey balls about your well being or your death besides your parents.
Wow! Powerful message. I am a 55 year old man who has been dealt several blows one right after the other. It's hard to keep going one day to the next, but reading your message is inspirational. Thankyou.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
This music brings me closer to the Holy Spirit, he lives in us and through him we will win the battle field of the mind. We are under attack minute by minute by the enemy. But ask for gods protection and he will leave you alone. BUT HE WILL BE BACK AS SOMETHING ELSE TO TEAR YOU DOWN ….. DONT LET HIM , JESUS IS THE SAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

I’ve realized this now and have turned my life around, although i am suffering now I realize it won’t always be this way! Keep going keep the faith never give up. There will be brighter days
It fits so well. I must've watched this movie a hundred times. Something about it strikes a chord, and I love how with every viewing I find another hidden meaning or subtle theme
I have "Once more into the fray" tattooed on my arm, the combination of that little poem with this music really struck a chord with me, I've only seen the film once but "Once more into the fray" kind of became a mantra of mine. When shit gets bad, I can look down at my arm, sees those words, hear this music, and then I feel like beating the shit out of death.
That's one of the most uplifting pieces of music I've ever heard. "Into the fray" - As I'm a linguist, I always delve into the etymology of words. "Fray" derives from affray (what, by the way, sounds exactly like Spanish "enfrentar" - to confront, bring face to face; also Spanish "frente" means forehead, so that makes even more sense), a close etymon to "afraid". However, the "a" at the beginning means "out of" + "fray" comes from German "friede", Frankish "frithu" and means "peace". On top of that stands Proto-Indo-European root pri- that means "to be friendly, to love". Again, in my mother tongue (Polish) we say "przyjaciel" (prz- = pri-) and that means "friend". Once you put these puzzles altogether, you can actually comprehend the whole scene behind this beautiful motion picture. When Ottway is about to face the wolf - the scene with his wife (0:23) brings the feeling of love, peace, "frithu". Then (5:15) his instincts kick in, "brawl" and "confrontation" take over. He's one step closer, "once more into the fray" where eventually everything will be fine, the last effort, the last pinnacle of his manliness, ready to die or survive. That's so beautiful that I'm lost for words... And all of that hidden in a simple word "fray".
U remind me my teacher explaining "Adolfo Bécquer" And his book "Rimas y Leyendas". All the relation between the words was what he was explaining to us, and that is simply beautiful
Thank you all for your kind words. Today I just randomly came back to this piece of music and read your comments. I'm happy I could share it with you as it helps to resonate with the music even more... Stay strong wherever you are, beautiful people!

Lots of interesting theories in the comments. Valuable opinions and insights. But remember, that's all they are. Remember that this movie, and many like it, are pieces of art like any other that can be interpreted an infinite amount of ways. Here's my own theory.. For me, after watching it for the 12th time, I finally think I understand what the quote was about. It wasn't just that he fought for his life, but that he finally understood what it meant to be alive. When he looked at all of those wallets before the end and saw the lives of the people who died before him. In his final moments, he lived and died on that day. Thats my take anyway. I love Liam Neeson not just as an actor, but as a human being. I will hold movies like this in my heart.
khentas The Grey is one of the most complete films I've ever seen. The soundtrack is amazing, the acting is authentic, the writing is smart, the direction is solid, the cinematography is inspiring, and it's filmed in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Going through a tough time, this movie was really important to me and it still is. I still can't listen to this song without crying.
Don’t try to fit into anyone’s box. Create your own box. The struggles you went through only weakened your spirit, not erased it. The fact that you are here now, alive and breathing, means that you are strong enough to endure anything in life. The fact that the pain hasn’t made you take your own life, is the proof of your strength. Don’t be afraid of pain, because it can only hold you back for a while. Don’t be afraid of fear itself, for through fear you will become stronger. Once you have experienced your lowest point, at which every emotion is pain, guilt, fear, insecurity, anger and loneliness, you will notice that there is no path to hard, no choice to scary and no battle you can not win. Over time you will feel that fire, your own fire, start to grow. Reach out to that fire, don’t be afraid to let it burn bright. For you are your fire, and you will burn and shine with it. To everyone dealing with depression, anxiety and or (childhood) traumas: You have my deepest respect. I admire your courage. Embrace yourself, for you are who you are ment to be. ❤🙏🏻
Intro: The Grey is allegorical in nature and has themes of depression and overcoming it. Depression is the severe feelings of despondency or dejection, with despondency being low spirits from the loss of hope or courage. Interestingly, hope and courage are the key aspects of depression the film tries to highlight. The movie is about a suicidal man who must survive and protect others after a deadly crash, all while dealing with some very powerful and contradictory emotions. This is represented through the characters, the setting and the plot. Paragraph One: Topic: The characters in the story are symbolic and pivotal to themes Argument: The main character demonstrates the themes of depression and overcoming it because he is an example of someone who learns to manage these feelings. Example: Suicide attempt by Otway is cut short by wolf howl, reminding him of his purpose. He also manages to share emotions with others and release feelings. Evaluate: Purpose is extremely important to mental health. With Otway having purpose, he is able to momentarily overcome his depression. Talking with others allows him to release some of the burden he feels. Conclude: The main character is a clear example of depression and overcoming it through his ability to find purpose and manage emotions. Paragraph Two: Topic: The setting also expresses the theme of depression Argument: The way the setting is shot is a visual representation of the nature of depression Example: The setting is Alaska, where the weather is chaotic and starkly contrasting. Evaluate: The colours of black and white in the setting are a visual representation of the conflicting mind of someone with depression. The chaotic weather shows how quickly feelings can change Conclude: The setting’s chaotic nature and contrasting colours are a visual representation of the theme of depression Paragraph Three: Topic: The plot enhances the theme of depression and overcoming it Argument: The way the story unfolds shows the indecisiveness and conflicting nature of depression Example: Otway ends up alone at the end of the film, a feeling that many with depression can sympathise with. Other character, Diaz, admits defeat even though he is the “tough guy.” Evaluate: The plot always ends up following the “hopeless” route, a feeling commonly felt by those with depression. Diaz shows this hopelessness has defeated him when he gives up and gives in to his feelings. This actually makes him content and allows him to overcome fear. Otway feels this loneliness but, through the course of the film, is able to find purpose. Conclude: The plot of the film often symbolises feelings of hopelessness and loneliness, and characters must overcome these feelings. Conclusion: The theme of depression and overcoming it is intricately interwoven into the film, and the characterisation, plot and the setting all act as little pieces of this jigsaw. Once combined, they reveal a deep insight into mental strength, depression and finding purpose.
I wonder what the composer was going through when he made this beautiful melody. There was beauty in his pain. I never knew there was beauty in pain, but now I understand. No words necessary yet so much was told. It brings tears to my eyes knowing someone other than me has felt the same pain I felt in my soul. What a gift to be able to translate that into music. Thank you.
Once more into the fray, Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live, and die on this day. Live, and die on this day.. The ending scene in the movie was soo amazing!!! 8)
This song years ago helped me and was a part of me getting out of my depression, anything is possible sometimes we fall but we can’t stay down take this shit step by step to anyone going through it fr
Life is so cruel at some times and can also be a blessing as well. If anyone is struggling with anything in there life or feels they cannot go on, you can always find happiness in the darkest of times, you are strong and believe to keep going on ❤️
Even I lost my childhood friend Swapnil Talwar .. I still miss him .. it has been now almost 20 years but still couldn’t forget him .. lord keep him happy wherever he is
This movie is deeper than people think the concept of the movie is versatile it holds meaning beyond measures it is something you will feel during the movie and appreciate life in different scope… this movie is well done and well directed hope Hollywood makes more
Is it not amazing how music affects our very spirit? How is it so magical? How come we as creatures of this earth need and love music so much? Why is it so beautiful, spiritual, and powerful? Its everything. One could sum up the entire existence of eternity with a few vibrations...GOD SPOKE...Let there be lightTTTTTTTTTT...and it was so...
It has been a life changing journey so far for me and this song has been with me every single day in last 5 years. Sometimes it is no big hopes, no amount of money, no amount of love and no big medications but just a simple of few minutes, and you continue to live, continue to fight.. :') This is the beauty of life !
Siempre que escucho está música con mis audífonos mi vida se ralentiza y me digo, todavía estoy aquí, luchando por lo que quiero, sin saber si quiera si lo lograré, pero firme cada vez que me levanto y voy una y otra vez, no creo en el destino.
This movie was cleverly disguised as an action movie for the knuckleheads but it's philosophical. The wolves represent death as they don't behave that way in nature. It covers survival, love, loss, grief, fear, persistence, "God", fate, "beast vs. man", death.....EXISTENCE. It's got Neeson minus the mindless 'Taken' nonsense. Life = White. Death = Black. THE GREY = Survival....at least temporarily (and that goes for us as well). The antithesis to Life of Pi in it's message regarding faith (although, that was a good film too). Beautiful music.
Good comment buddy. It's pretty clear that wolves do not behave like that in nature, they usually shy away from human presence like nearly all other wild animals. The big beast is us👍
+Work-in-progress Some people think about it in the way that he's in purgatory (hell/heaven = black/white, purgatory is the grey). That he's dying in a hospital bed (his wife telling him not to be afraid) and that parts of his mind are dying off like the different characters in the film, and he gives himself up to death (the alpha) at the end
It takes me into a deep conversation with my soul... immediately it makes me se all the cracks that past traumas left in my soul... As a man, I have got to admit that life is hard.💔💔😭😭😭
I don't believe in movies-inspired-motivation but this one was a grand exception. As grand was my negation of the idea. This movie fought against my suicidal tendencies. It was the missing part of me throughout my darkest days. I fought every battle in life with this music in my ears.
The movie itself is really amazing. Beautiful shots. Fantastic acting and great story. The beautiful soundtrack makes it even more perfect and beautiful.
For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

+Keeping Up With Kotecki ….. very deep music , so powerful that your emotions get completely owned …… and D minor is said to be the sadest sounding key of all its understandable you felt that way :O)
+Keeping Up With Kotecki In case it is new to you: watch/listen the movie Ink (2009) by Jamin Winans. the first and last section of this song is borrowed from that movie.
Used to quote this all the time with my brother. We're not as close as we used to be now, but I'll always keep that image of watching this film with him close. What a wonderful story of survival and finding the will to live again. I get choked up every time.
I saw this movie when it came out in theaters while I was going through the toughest years of my life and a struggle I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy and when I heard this song… idk how to put it into words but that movie and this song has become so incredibly meaningful to me as well as the poem Liam Neeson says during the movie. Great song, great movie.
@@markus8553 it won't seem it until awhile from now, but you'll probably think back if you remember this comment. The older you get, the faster it goes. The poem from this movie kinda touches on it. Part of it is as you get older, you experience death more and more and the frailty of life becomes more clear. I've always enjoyed acting and even more of the directing, just stick with it at least in one shape or form. I can honestly say never wish your older, but look to the present and enjoy each day because the older you get the more you realize it's all one big journey, and one in which we all take wrong turns with the right often learning from the wrong turns so much more than the right. Life is always short even if you life to a hundred, enjoy every second and make the most of the worst.

Uff, espectacular, profunda, densa y a la vez con destellos brillantes de la vida que pasa y nos muestra el lado humano que en circunstancias de prueba, sacamos al exterior.
All the losses of loved ones I’ve had the hardships the shit hand I was dealt in life it’s seems almost unbearable... but when I listen to this it helps me reflect and think about who I really am gives me hope to keep fighting in this life this is not our place of paradise we’re just passing through it
I've never heard an instrumental beat like this, this soundtrack keeps you calm...it literally goes into your bones. Its like this soundtrack tells you its ok to be alone, but it doesn't tell you by hearing it, it tells you by the efect your body inhales while listening to-it
I saw this movie shortly after my mother passed away. I remember her not a year earlier watching it but I wasnt too interested in it myself. Movies just had not been a thing I enjoyed watching on TV anymore with too many breaks inbetween. But I was always interested in the story itself. Now I am looking back on the time, just before the pandemic and I realize that despite her flaws how much time I wasted not spending with my mom because I was too occupied with feeding my ADHD ridden head. I wish I had realized this sooner. But now, that cancer has taken her just at the start of covid, its too late. Even now as Im writing this, Im still brought to tears. Its been a few years. And I just cant get over it. She wasnt the same person anymore that I got to know. The strong independant woman suddenly reduced to a weak and helpless girl almost. And I had no way to help her. Not in my state. Not with how my ADHD made me behave, untreated as it was as I didnt even know I had it then. And ever since then, even during the time that I was far more in pain over her passing, I listened to this music. The poem. The movie. It means a lot to me. Once more into the fray, Into the last good fight Ill ever know. I wont give up. And I wont back down. Im doing better now, have meds and all. And even tho Im struggling Im still here. And I refuse to simply exist anymore and accept the world for what it is. Despite all your flaws and the fights we had. I love you mom. And I will forever love you.
me encanta esta musica, la escucho siempre para dormir, relajarme, reflexionar o leer un libro, la recomiendo cien por cien esta musica, con ella he pasado de todo y he sentido de todo
I miss my dog... She just passed away yesterday, and this track is making me think of her, all the good times we had... I just wish she's happy in heaven and being taken good care of. So long little one, until we meet again.
This is the song that helps me gather my thoughts when I’m knocked off course in life for either a break up or something else. I gotta tell you guys that in a moment like this if you play this song and think about your dreams and what you’re really trying to accomplish in life, nothing can stop you, because you would really start working on yourself harder and harder and put the best effort to achieve your dreams. With that being said, this how I feel at least.
The song is originally from Ink, composed by Jamin Winans specifically for Ink which he also directed. It is called "The City Surf" and the rest of the score is just as good. The movie is incredible if you can look past the low budget. It really pisses me off to see people crediting The Grey for this song, and some people even saying it's from "Sunshine." It's not, it's from Ink, and it's not even USED in Sunshine.
Reading the replies posted here whilst listening to this piece makes it even more powerful. As I lay here in the hotel, away on business from my beautiful wife, and 2 amazing boys brings more than a few tears to my eyes. Whilst these majestic sounds bring sadness, it’s also delivers a euphoric sense of happiness through the connection of the tones that rise and fall through out this piece, simply beautiful.
I remember way watching this movie for the first time....then the ending 😢....it touched me in a very deep place the only thought in my mind..."this is how I want to die last good fight I will ever know...live or die on this day"
The strength do not lie within the muscle tissue but rather in the mind. Battling both physical and mental obstacles that comes across. Even if everything is lost and lie in ruins and you are left with nothing but whatever feeling is left as others stole from or what lie took away from you. There is always hope and always a will to survive. I believe that the entire concept of the movie. "The Grey" was focusing on the past issues and the present issues as to surviving against the environment and the wolves but also surviving of their past. I think that is what gives a great sense of what the movie is trying to send as a message. Even through darkest times there is a chance of surviving and getting through the hardship of life.

Yup, i agree
I saw the movie many many times
The Grey made a strong and lasting impression on me. Her stunning beauty, the drip and this poem, each and every time they bring me to the brink of tears.
@logangoulet7522 what better than to recite....
Once more into the fray,
Into the last good fight I'll ever know,
Live and die on this day...
Live and die on this day...
to conclude the journey of life...
Masterpiece in narrative banality and sophomoric writing and directing. Great soundtrack though.
Damn! 100 times!
I thought I was his die hard fan hahaha and this is his best movie in my book.
I genuinely live like him ..each day ..I bought a dog to love and find meaning ...the scars of war run deep my friend ❤
The fact we didn't get Liam fighting wolves at the end, made it a better film.
Great film
You should watch the small clip after the credits....Liam and the wolf died
brownwings00 np dude, gotta always stick to the end of the film aha👌
Who win doesn't matter.
what matter is Liam chose to fight.
This is by far one of the most emotionally impactful scores I've ever heard for any film. Without it, the Grey would not be as good as it is. A highly underrated film of the struggles of mankind to overcome our own fallacies. A masterpiece of a score. Well done.
Well put. Could not agree more.
When that first piano chord hits, it resonates my bones with memories of my childhood, moments and choices of my present, and the sad acceptance that I'll die some day.
so true
PhilTV100 there is no sadness to death. You are simply going home
You’ve been dead for billions of years, right now is your spark of life within the universe. Appreciate it for what it is. Do not be sad that it has to end, but be happy that it happened at all. Wish you all the best👍
Death is the only thing that is certain
@@lethalwolf7455 Wow! What a comment. You literally brought a tear to my eye with it.
@@bagzy868 good luck my friend
@@bagzy868 I think the message of the film is more this. If you’re alive, you can always fight, even if you don’t think you’ll win.
perhaps. But never forget life for humans is so simple and easy compared all other species
The will to survive, when there is nothing to live for...

That reminded me of this quote by Winston Churchill:
If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.
There’s always something to live for.

The Grey is one of my most favorite movies of all-time. It's so deep and moving, and Liam Neeson is simply brilliant as usual.
hen he puts the barrel inside his mouth, his facial expression is one of the best acting scenes i've ever seen, thate face of a frightened child
Happy for you

Well done dude. Cant begin to comprehend what you went through. Real life Warrior my bro 💪
dude when that piano hits....just straight chills.
This song sounds like Death has come to take you away but it’s not a frightening experience, just a natural conclusion to your life.

Alyssa Reyes couldn't agree more love
I hope this Song help me to in my Depression to lost my sadness and fear for all the things i remembered in the past
This song brings back the exact memories of watching this incredible movie. I was in college, just finished writing a paper, decided to open my laptop on a cold winter's night and watch this movie. I remember all the feelings I had about the movie and life at that exact moment. Sometimes I wish I could go back there.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
This music brings me closer to the Holy Spirit, he lives in us and through him we will win the battle field of the mind.
I know. Coward. Such is earth.

Me too brother!
Underated comment
It appears I didn't take enough linguistics education.

Such a valuable insight, thank you for sharing it… I agree with you.
The soundtrack made the film for me.
khentas The Grey is one of the most complete films I've ever seen.
To everyone dealing with depression, anxiety and or (childhood) traumas:
You have my deepest respect. I admire your courage.

❤🙏🏻
Intro:
The Grey is allegorical in nature and has themes of depression and overcoming it.
Paragraph One:
Topic: The characters in the story are symbolic and pivotal to themes
Argument: The main character demonstrates the themes of depression and overcoming it because he is an example of someone who learns to manage these feelings.
Paragraph Two:
Topic: The setting also expresses the theme of depression
Argument: The way the setting is shot is a visual representation of the nature of depression
Example: The setting is Alaska, where the weather is chaotic and starkly contrasting.
Evaluate: The colours of black and white in the setting are a visual representation of the conflicting mind of someone with depression. The chaotic weather shows how quickly feelings can change
Conclude: The setting’s chaotic nature and contrasting colours are a visual representation of the theme of depression
Paragraph Three:
Topic: The plot enhances the theme of depression and overcoming it
Argument: The way the story unfolds shows the indecisiveness and conflicting nature of depression
Example: Otway ends up alone at the end of the film, a feeling that many with depression can sympathise with. Other character, Diaz, admits defeat even though he is the “tough guy.”
Evaluate: The plot always ends up following the “hopeless” route, a feeling commonly felt by those with depression.
Conclusion:
The theme of depression and overcoming it is intricately interwoven into the film, and the characterisation, plot and the setting all act as little pieces of this jigsaw. Once combined, they reveal a deep insight into mental strength, depression and finding purpose.

It's amazing how music is able to touch a person's heart, soul and mind all at once.
Thank you.

En verdad hermosa está melodía,mil gracias es de lo mejor que he escuchado, me mueve todo mi ser y mi alma 👼
He wasn't dying in a hospital bed, his wife was.
Oh interesting! Never thought about that color symbolism. Fucking love it.

When i get older im 14 right now when i get older i will make more these types of movies cuz thats what i feel is the best but i have wsit and learn.
@Zues thank you i wish i was older but thats just a number. I wish you the best too from estonia!
If china did not buy four out of five movie studios you may have. now all you will see is propaganda against us and destruction of the USA like man on the moon no mention of the American flag in it . down with china as its true government of evil
Dunque Mapping wish the best for you brotha!
Uff, espectacular, profunda, densa y a la vez con destellos brillantes de la vida que pasa y nos muestra el lado humano que en circunstancias de prueba, sacamos al exterior.
For the fallen
Because they never got to witness the result of their efforts.
Their sacrifice.
Don't be afraid to face your past and your fears , accept who you are
I never thought that this movie was going to have such a beautiful soundtrack -- I'm baffled!
So much nostalgia to my December 2014 vacation to San Francisco where I'd be addicted to listening to this music. Whole movie was such a masterpiece.

All the losses of loved ones I’ve had the hardships the shit hand I was dealt in life it’s seems almost unbearable... but when I listen to this it helps me reflect and think about who I really am gives me hope to keep fighting in this life this is not our place of paradise we’re just passing through it

Pic or it didn't happen.
britbloc123 excuse me?

Beautiful and wonderful music. Thank you for choosing this sound track.
You feel like in heaven with that epic track!!! The ending scene in the movie was soo amazing!!! 8)

Zero Alejandre this song is extremely powerful it feel it going through my soul ...
Copy the link and download it on youtube converter. Hope this helped
One of my favorite movies of all time, criminally underrated .
Reading the replies posted here whilst listening to this piece makes it even more powerful. As I lay here in the hotel, away on business from my beautiful wife, and 2 amazing boys brings more than a few tears to my eyes.
Whilst these majestic sounds bring sadness, it’s also delivers a euphoric sense of happiness through the connection of the tones that rise and fall through out this piece, simply beautiful.
when you're with the perfect person but you wake up and realize it's just a dream... and u say : okay, life goes on...

...Still winning in 2018, OP
I remember way watching this movie for the first time....then the ending 😢....it touched me in a very deep place the only thought in my mind..."this is how I want to die last good fight I will ever know...live or die on this day"
This music makes me feel like I am a eagle soaring over the Rocky mountains amazing composition.
Most underrated movie of all time
