@NoGameNoLifeBlank that is true. It shouldn't be like that. But I am going to play devil's advocate, samsung is pushing way more innovative phones. Like the flip, s pen, etc. Cameras is all meh since most phones have good cameras for everyone. If photos is a "must have" then get a camera. No phones can take better pictures.
@@LightYagami-rz6su understandable, I wanted an upgrade from my OnePlus 7 pro so I bought the OnePlus 10 pro off eBay for $240 used. I'm not a camera person more of a processor person and 7nm to a 4nm chip and 90 to 120hz is good for me now

Love the design of it. I prefer a nice camera setup like this to every other manufacturer's boring recessed lens. Also the pics are really nice. Glad theres no AI ruining it.

I traded in my 11 not sure if im gonna like 12 wont receive till 22nd ish...just worried about size and i like the alert slider on the other side idk..but supposably this has bigger batter and better camera and wanted better camera

How is the battery for this new phone? It looks nice but I purchased the 10 pro 5G and the battery drained so fast. I always had 90hz turned off and brightness half way and never got a good amount of phone use.
Usage data was 10 hours of screen time in other reviewers videos.
1 day late but nice unboxing.
I am currently using iPhone 15 Pro Max and thinking to buy this as my secondary phone.

Nick Ackerman actually does a side by side comparison between the OnePlus 12 and the iPhone 15 Pro Max! The OnePlus 12 actually beats the iPhone 15 Pro Max in almost every area except the iPhone won with opening more games faster than the OnePlus 12.
@@markgardner42 I think Iphone 15 Max has better camera too but it costs about twice as much and it's not "twice as good" camera if you know what I mean
I ordered this device. It will be my first phone with curved display. I am having some doubts that which type of tempered glass will be good for this curved display. Can you please tell me which type of tempered glass is good and where can i get it from?
It doesn't really matter what type of glass screen protector you use, with a curved display, the protector will eventually chip on the edge either from your case or from rubbing around your pockets and catching the fabric.

@marcinzielinski2555 yeah. You're better off just keeping the factory installed screen protector on. I feel like that was their way of acknowledging that the curved display was a mistake but they realized it too late, so they slapped a non glass protector on it as a consolation prize. At least with those types of non glass screen protectors, if you get the right case it will hold the edges down and prevent peeling.

In fact, they did not remove the alert slider for a whole year of phones. It was present in the 10 Pro but, they had to eliminate it on the 10T to make room for the advanced charging technology. Of course, many people freaked out over it but, it was never a permanent deletion.

@@jradish I would tend to agree. You don't just delete the alert slider because it's pretty much the Hallmark of your brand. It was that factor and the plastic frame that really turned me off. Everything else about the phone I thought was fine.

It's annoying how OnePlus, iPhone and Samsung increase the pricing for their flagships because of two things: Better Camera & Bigger internal storage when some of us don't even care for the two, but end up paying the price just because we wanted a good battery, best software experience, able to call and ability to use social media.

Nope. No case inside :( I'm together with OnePlus from version 6 and there was always a case.
Yeah it's way more expensive here in the EU and I had to buy a case myself. Chinese one has a case.
The sides of that phone reminds me of Samsung S21
2 things that they really downgraded on this model, the selfie camera in center of the top of the screen, and the curved display.
I still use my Samsung s21 currently and as someone who most of their screen time comes crom watching youtube and streaming tv shows, the centered selfie camera gets very annoying, as it usually gets in the way of the picture, especially since i've literally never used it. The cornered selfie camera on the OnePlus 11 looked much better and it makes more sense to put it in the corner anyways because that space on phones is usually just for stuff like notifications or battery life so its not like its getting in the way of anything since those icons can just be moved over a little bit.
And the curved screen, major downgrade. I thought companies learned from Samsung's past, that curved displays are an interesting but ultimately pointless feature, not to mention it makes screen replacements so much more expensive. It falsely makes the screen look larger and the bezels smaller, but it subtly distorts the screen just enough to make it annoying to use for long periods of time. And if you put a case on it, it affects the usability of the edge of the screen. And lastly it sucks for people who dont want to ruin the look of the phone with a case, because if you hold the bare phone with your hands, it will misread your inputs as the meat of your fingers and palm are always touching the edge of the screen unless you hold it in a weird way to not toich the screen. Every company should learn from Apple that you dont need to mess with the shape of the screen, flat is perfectly fine. Apple have been doing a flat screen for 15 years now and nobody has complained about it because its the objectively better shape of screen.

I hope they don't use a curved screen on the next model. I thought everyone learned from Samsungs mistakes, that the curved screens are an interesting but ultimately pointless gimmick. I still use an iphone 8 that I bought after using the Samsung S9 and hated how the curved display looked and misread inputs if my hand was slightly wrapped around the sides of the phone. And I'm now considering skipping this phone after I waited so long for it to be released, and getting something without a curved display
