Topspin Survived but he has a head of another bot named Leadfoot Topspins head was detached from his body but somehow he survived and that lockdown removed the eye from that detached head assuming that Topspin was died but he was just brutally injured. And later he putted leadfoot's head in his own body.
That actually explains a lot. But I have a theory about Apelinq. You remember that Scourge killed him and Unicron ate Maximals' planet. So that means Apelinq is in Unicron's body. So what if Unicron revive Apelinq, but make him his herald? Apelinq will be villain then. What do you think?

A good theory but, it's confirmed in concept art for the Rise of Unicron that Dino will be apart of the 6th Bayverse film (aswell as Cliffjumper)
Lockdown character in the movie didn't seem much like a trophy hunter at all. Also he doesn’t care about the autobots or decepticons, so collecting the majority of autobot eyes only makes him look one-sided.
Did you know that Sideswipe cheated death in transformers DOTM? Yes, he did! Since his alternate mode is a car made of fiberglass, it cannot rust. But his robot mode is not 100% fiberglass, but when sentinel shot him, the shot just hit the door of the car, which is made of fiberglass, then he was able to avoid a terrible fate! But he got killed later by Lockdown.

I’m say using cut content as evidence isn’t really proof of the death that happened.
Now yes sideswipe has a confirmed death due to the trading card.

Sentenal primes eye technically shouldn’t be there in the first place
And using that Dino’s voice actor died is also pretty weak and petty excuse of evidence that he did.
Now I’m not saying that your opinion is wrong. It’s your opinion and I respect it.
I am disagreeing here. When I searched up both Dino’s and sideswipes heads (seeing this theory) I noticed that the eyebrows and structures surrounding the eye are not the same as these ones here. The designer simply reused the same design for those pieces and recoloured them. And if you say something about leadfoot he was killed by Sematary wind, not lockdown. Not to mention leadfoots head was on topspin’s body in Cuba during TLK. This also was concept so.. this doesn’t mean he actually did this, he totally could still be doing it in film but we just don’t know or see. The case is not closed just yet. Cool theory though.
(Note) the eye structures aren’t the same but they don’t look like sideswipes or Dino’s. just a mistake.
Sentinel prime wasn’t even hunted either. Lockdown probably didn’t even care about sentinel.

Dino is more triangular. The bot on the ship matches more of bumblebees look in the reunite scene. And two the Color. The Color is more grey red mixed. Dino is fully red
Bro sorry to interupt but that second eye which is red in colour is definitely not from Sentinal Prime because he had a grey face if we look carefully and his eye was supposed to be grey, and second point Sentinal Prime was killed by Optimus Prime and why would lockdown keep sentinal's eye because lockdown didnt hunted sentinal prime because he was killed earlier and Lockdown keeps the eyes only of those he had hunted like Ratchet thats why I dont think that eye was from Sentinal.
