    Nice Bob! I think it’s safe to say you KNOCKED it out of the park with those baby sea bass!

    Hi Bob, havent seen you since that pier in Brooklyn. Gld your having fun, fishing. I saw your Striped Bass grass shrimp video. Last year I got size 2 & 4 Matzuo hooks and tied them with long lamb hair to mimic tiny bait. I tiped them with Thundermist Lures eye drops. It was late in the season, but I did hit some fluke and missed a really nice fish or two in the Bay. I think that was around the time you were chasing Spanish Mackerel...

      hey bud! That rig sounds super cool, I appreciate the tackle tip. That tiny bait rig sounds mad cool and a clever idea. Hope you have a fun weekend and stay cool with the heat wave

    Hey Bob, another nice video. I wish you were able to catch variety. Too bad the sea bass drives everything away and grabs the food first.

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  5 місяців тому

      Yeah the seabass are pretty aggressive fish, but it was nice to catch a couple puffers. I tried your tiny hook idea for a video but it was a fail, will give it another try soon

    When you get snagged instead of yanking your pole 😂(funny) Just loosen you drag and reel in high and slow or open your bail and wait for a wave

    We call them slider rigs here in New England we use chunk bait for stripers with that.

    If the 1 oz. weight was too heavy, what weight did you drop down to ?

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  3 місяці тому

      I think 1/4 or 1/8oz. I don't remember but one of those. I bring a variety and switch depending on the tide speed

      Thank up. I didn’t think you could get to the bottom with under 1 oz of weight.

    Is this rig different from a carolina rig? Never seen this rig before

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  5 місяців тому +2

      For the Carolina, the sliding sinker would hit your swivel, then you'd have leader line to hook. For the Knocker rig, the sliding sinker "knocks" straight against the hook. Carolina works better for casting and retrieving while the Knocker works better for vertical presentation

    That’s my hood… that spot is notoriously sticky. But I’m mostly casting for fluke. So I don’t fish there.

    Do you think that rig will work In freshwater

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  5 місяців тому +1

      oh yeah I bet live lining shiners on a knocker would crush it when the Summer bass go into deep water. You can get floating jigs too if you wanna keep it off the bottom

    • @moremut
      @moremut 5 місяців тому

      @@BobAquatic ok i will try that because I’m having a hard time catching fish here on the great lakes in Michigan from the bank and I had land one last question for you. I noticed in another video where you talk about how heavy the lure is when fishing I thought that was very important and that’s something else I need to consider when fishing artificial baits

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  5 місяців тому +1

      @@moremut Knocker rig on the great lakes sounds so cool. I bet it'll work for bottom fish. You want to get a bit of a "float" with your jig weight, the fish can tell if it's too heavy. They'll drop the lure or shy away from it
