A fan of the Hollis wing, I like the retraction of the wing when deflated, disappears and streamlines. I always have had trouble with the solid webbing as with some restrictions in shoulder mobility struggled to get the gear off. A cheap 'loop adjustment ring' solved this and allows me to loosen the strapping on the LH side 2-3 inches and easily slide my gear off. Be nice to have this part of the std package. Saved me from having to spend more $$ on the more expensive clip systems :). Also, like the retaining bungee having had to hunt for my inflater as it disappeared over the back of my head this is a no brainer fix!
#askmark Hello Mark, hope you are getting some good dives in. What would the benefit/drawback if you get more lift in a BC then what you might actually need?
pretty late but a backplate and wing setup is basically just a piece of sheet metal that you screw to an innertube. The advantage of them is that if you want to use two tanks on your back, instead of getting a whole new BCD you can just replace the innertube on the back (called the wing) with a bigger one designed for 2 tanks. Also every part is replacable which is great if something breaks

I like this harness. Looks good, smart items like retaining bungee already on webbing. Pads are nice tough.
Nice
Nice system. I am trying to chose between Hollis ST Travel and the XDeep NX Zen. Any thoughts?
Nice, Hollis doing it right. Drop one d ring on each shoulder strap though

Boy I have no clue what this is. I haven't been diving in a long time. Looks like a BC, with baffles on the back. What's the attraction to this thing?
