I really love when makers have a solid amount of footage of the finished project as Michael does! So many barely show any footage after they finish and just go almost immediately into the outro.
I totally agree! That drives me nuts.
Seems like a common theme among successful UA-cam woodworkers. Starts off with interesting projects an Eventually you will have to watch them remodel their house.
The flutes really set off the piece overall. Extremely well done. I recently finished a piece and had to mill 12 pulls with the Shaper Origin. I was convinced I had a 1 in 12 chance to screw it up, but I got lucky!
Thanks! Yeah I probably did 6-7 test pieces so the odds were not in my favor 😂 Fortunately it wasn’t on the grain matched doors
Fluting the tall cabinet in my eyes is genius and leaving above fridge smooth. I’ve used those’d recessed hinge sets on tv cabinets (back when tvs were big boxes lol) and the first time you use them your right they can be a pain. Looking beautiful. Oh, my wife is watching the kitchen videos of the remodel and taking notes. I hope to get started on our kitchen renovation in June
Thank you!! Yeah that hardware is a mind bender
Man these cabinets are gorgeous. I can't wait to see the rest of this kitchen come together.
Thank you!!
Love this series, can't wait for the finished build
There’s woodworking then there’s cabinetmaking. This is what happens when a talented woodworker designs and builds cabinets. Beautiful work Michael!
OK, are all the woodworking channels I watch just slowly pivoting to remodelling a house? Bourbon Moth, Make Something, you... If Frank Howarth starts doing a total teardown remodel on a house, it'll confirm the trend.
I'd like to see Frank go the van route
😂 I saw that on Jason's channel and I'm like It's time for me to get back to woodworking...
Matt Cremona has been remodeling his house for 2 years now 😂
They basically get a sponsored renovation by doing it. That's why
@@Ignotus. I don't find it annoying at all. As a woodworker that does home improvement projects I find it to be very applicable. It's nice to see how skills can transfer between rough carpentry, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and furniture building.
Glad to see this series back on track! Have been missing my Alm fix for a while.
A few things I noticed:
1. Zeta p2 and divario connectors would be great for those baffles if you wanted to do a hidden fixing install
2. Be careful with those sliding pocket door assemblies and any grain matched panels. If the door gets marred from being slid into the cabinet at the wrong angle, then it will be a super expensive replacement since you’ll need to do all doors again, not just the damaged panel. Better to use paint grade finishes here.
3. Not sure how easy it would be to resize that over fridge cabinet, but it would be definitely worth making it shallower so that you can vent the fridge into the cavity behind. Unless of course you’ve got a proper integrated fridge (sub zero, Fhiaba, Liebherr etc) coming that vents in and out of the front.
Omg Michael they are gorgeous!!! Worth the wait and fully expected them to be perfect but wow! You are unbelievably talented and I don’t know how you envision such works of art and function!
Thanks so much!!
Those cabinets are gorgeous!! Definitely worth all the time and effort you put into them. You're going to enjoy them for years to come!
Excellent artistic touches. The arches are a perfect touch to tie in and those scallops add such a nice textural element and give nice light play on the doors. Well done.
Damn your precision and attention to detail is absolutely insane ! Those cabinets are gorgeous ! 🔥🔥🔥
WOW! This was absolutely stunning!!! The fluting detail was such a nice touch and everything looks like perfection!
It’s absolutely beautiful. Love the details you added to the cabinet doors.
Those are some of the nicest kitchen cabinets I've seen in a long time. Those coves on the door fronts along with the finger-pulls make it look very aesthetically pleasing. Well done, Michael!
Beautiful craftsmanship, Michael. I particularly admire the Art Deco touches. Congratulations.
Such a fabulous job Michael. Absolutely love the fluting detail on the doors.
Love how this turned out! The attention to detail is insane. Well Done!
Awesome work as always. I've been following quite long now and I'm happy to see how much you have increased your knowledge and skills. You won't stop to amaze me.
That's just beautiful work. I appreciate that you show the trials and tribulations too.
I love all the attention to detail and care you show on your projects! Keep it up!
I did enjoy the fact that you showed the small battle with the pocket hinge…slide…things.
So many videos just show - oh get this hardware, install it, away you go.
It never goes like that in real life when you’re designing and making your own stuff with new hardware 👌👌
Absolutely amazing work Michael the cabinets look beautiful love the design, you added to the front of them and the finger pools to open them. Can’t wait to see it finished.
GORGEOUS. Those grooves make such a difference.
That looks so good. Love the asymmetry that the cove pattern adds. Subtle but takes the whole built in from standard to custom/high end.
Such a great fridge surround build.
As a joiner myself, these cabs look honestly beautiful, absolutely love every aspect of the designs
Thank you!!
I liked the idea of french cleats, that is a very old carpentry trick that goes way back over a few hundred years, one of those things many different era's claim the making of it.. loved watching, really nice to see young people with trade skills, not "Half Assing It".. Thank you for sharing
I am not a builder just an avid watcher so I have to say I cannot wait for the reveal. It’s going to be beautiful.
Looks pretty slick and unique. Well done
Really appreciate the attention to detail and the very well executed hat tip to the art deco era! Well done sir
Love the fluting on the cupboard doors. Definitely like to use that in a project. Great build.
2:31 good to see josh knows his priorities
Incredible! I'm also planning a kitchen remodel and wanting to add decorative elements like these. I love the finished product and all the tips and tricks so I have a better idea what to do when I get to those parts of the build.
Epic dude. Love the details in the door. Very cool inspiration for a project that’s been brewing in my mind for some time now.
Wow. Some of the nicest details i've seen. Gives me some ideas for my kitchen.
he's back!! glad to see a new upload. thanks bro
This was a great build & video~! The coved fluting really sets off the door fronts, as do the integrated pulls. I had hardware like that on an old entertainment center where the TV was enclosed. Always wondered if I'll ever be able to reuse it again. Looking forward to the next video~!
Love how those came out! Can't wait to see the place once it is finished!
Great design and beautiful. I really like the panel you added to cover the pocket hinges, nice feature.
The flutes are a great touch. Great job.
I am obsessed! What a beautiful work 💖💖💖 thank you sm!!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Plans would be amazing! This looks fantastic. Well done and congratulations!
Wow, beautiful work 👏
Love this build🎉❤
They look beautiful Michael, so very crisp and with a great design nod to the house.
My god, they are just gorgeous. Fantastic through and through!
It's really good what you've done, the design is lovely. Well done man
As always an interesting video with a great result. Love the pocket doors and self Closing drawer. Looking forward to the organizers!
That is seriously cool, I really love the art deco addition
Absolutely stellar work Michael!!!
Thanks so much 🙌
Great design! Fine execution!!
absolutely gorgeous, well done
I'm obsessed with these sliding hinges!
Love the look and functionality
That is a beautiful set of cabinets. I love the hardware and the innovative problem-solving. Thanks for showing the new finger pull bit for the Shaper! Neat stuff. More than anything, the play of light and shadow is so nice on these cabinets. The chimney cabinet really needed that set of flutes. Thank you for sharing all of this, Michael. What I love is your aesthetic. I don't know that I would ever use plans for this cabinet set, but I surely will borrow some of your ideas. Don't worry, I will buy plans from you, but maybe not for this set of cabinets!!
You are a true craftsman and artist. I’m alway so impressed by the vision and creative execution. Definitely a custom quality look. Can’t buy those cabinets anywhere else. Well done!
Thank you!! 🙌
Absolute home run, so beautiful and well done!!
That might be the best in video ad I've seen. I want one of those vacuums.
Very inspiring as always! Love the touch of fluting.
Everyone loves these but I just see 1980.
absolutely beautiful
Deco coving was inspired - am a fan of deco and it looks good on your doors. A nod but in a modern way. Nice!
Definitely cool work and love your unique style in a kitchen.
Beautiful. Nice work!
Well done! So difficult to condensate a large build into a relatively short video!
Exceptionally well done. Very nice!
Amazing, Michael! It looks fantastic!!! 😃
Really well done!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Stunning work
These cabinets are simply gorgeous: just the right amount of careful detail but still letting the wood shine. Hopefully this was the most complicated cabinet and it’s all downhill from here. 😂 Following this project has been great and I can’t wait for more! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Michael, the way those cabinet pulls match the rounded features in the house. Chef's Kiss.
Thank you 🙌
The end result looks fantastic.
Great work Michael ✌
I really love the pocket door aspect of the mini pantry cabinets! I'm too storage hungry to use it in my house (every inch really does count in an A frame!), but it's a thoughtful detail.
I would use tambor doors that roll up like a garage door. I used canvas and narrow strips fifty years ago on some appliance "garages."
That just looks amazing. I can't imagine how much it would cost have someone make a kitchen to that level of detail.
Details on the pullouts might be a nice idea, I have a similar cabinet that does not have pull outs. I’ve been thinking of making some. Once I saw your design, it seems like a viable solution for me. Thx. Great work as always.
Felicitaciones las palabras no superan la belleza de este mueble
Lovely cabinets and a great build, I would question the reasoning for using the pocket door furniture as useless seen as you have a drawer in the same unit, and I would have thought with all the empty wasted space behind and to the sides of the units could add up to another cupboard alone. 😊
I love this channel and eagerly await new content every weekend. Its my "Must See TV" for modern day.
Seeing this talent and ability to produce beautiful things from scratch however makes me deeply regret my choice of profession when I was in Trade School. I wish I had taken carpentry and woodworking instead of electronics. Now in my 50s, I am deeply unsatisfied with my profession and wish I could have gone back and made a different choice.
At least I can live vicariously through this channel! lol
This is so interesting and fascinating
What a beautiful set of cabinets. As a Builder/GC I’d say that’s would cost at least 10k alone. Well done, that is next level stuff.
That rubio was a great choice. The finish looks perfect on the white oak
4:33 I have used this exact method on cabinets, and it is plenty strong.
Fantastic work and very enjoyable to watch!
P.S. I would totally have filled those screw wholes too, and my wife would totally be upset with me for taking the time doing so...
Beautiful!
[adds cove bit to cart]
built-ins look so good!
Hahaha! Thanks
Wow - just wow
So Beautiful!
Wow. Just, wow.
Wow so beautiful ❤
Michael, I like your glue up background music AND realized it reminds me of the scene in silence of the lambs where he's dancing in front of the mirror...
those look amazing 😲
Gorgeous !
Nice work as always 👍👍
Cool cabinets
I love the look of white oak and how you used it here. I think it would have also looked good to have continued the finger pull top to bottom on the chimney cabinet.
Très joli meuble , bravo !
Nice build, thanks! 27:13 what did you use for fill (nails) (brand and tint if if had one, thanks!) I'm using white oak (ply and solid for trim) and Rubio on our kitchen in a couple weeks.
