- Eminem has never apologized in his life except when he said sorry to Tyler the Creator. Tyler said Eminem was his biggest influence but then Eminem got angry at Tyler and the story is wild. It started in 2013 when Tyler tweeted that Eminem's album Shady XV was bad. Eminem was already on edge because the album was poorly received and people told him they wanted the old Em back. Many thought Tyler was speaking the truth and Eminem had lost his roots. But what happened next was crazy, Tyler called out Eminem’s single, “Walk on Water” and tweeted, “Dear God, this song is horrible.” And when Eminem’s album Revival dropped, everyone said it was the worst hip hop album of all time. Eminem knew he had to bounce back so he dropped Kamikaze and called out Tyler by name. But Eminem went too far when he said this next thing, Eminem dissed Tyler and directed a terrible word at him. But what happened next surprised every Eminem fan, Eminem said he loved Tyler but his tweets made him angry. Eminem said he had to defend himself but the word he used to call out Tyler took his diss too far.

He was younger though and wasn't really directing it at people who were known to be gay, so Eminem throwing that slur at Tyler who is openly gay/bi seems more straight up hateful. At Em's age he should have had better judgement for sure. It's good he apologised and I'm sure he and Tyler moved on as Em is one of Tyler biggest influence, along with most of the other rappers in Odd Future.
Damn tho Tyler is lucky he blew up just before wokeness became a big deal cuz Odd Future really just wrote the edgiest stuff they could come up with. Slurs everywhere, graphic and elaborate SA references, murder/abduction of young women, self harm and school shootings. It's crazy he managed to change his image so much and keep growing in popularity/as an artist because that music would instantly get you cancelled these days. It's cool to see them succeed after finding them when I was a teen around their age and they were just releasing their own stuff online and had 10k views on their most popular UA-cam vid, I never would have thought they'd blow up like they did.

Apologizing is so underrated in our society. It really means alot when a person acknowledges they were wrong and asks for forgiveness.

Revival was definitely not the worst hip hop album of all time. There’s been WAY worse, but I still think it’s a very bad album. Lyrically he wasn’t in peak form and delivered plenty of corny lines. Corny lines can work with a good delivery (like old em back in the day), but with his rough sounding flow that isn’t smooth at all it just didn’t work. The production was also pretty bad. I didn’t really like Kamikaze that much but it was a step up. I think MTBMB was solid.
Regarding the Tyler thing I honestly think neither were in the wrong for what they did.
