Intriguing video. Two or three questions if I may. What strings were you using and what diameter? Also, what's that capo looking thing I see you and Mateo Mancuso and others using on the first fret? Also, what amp and pedals were you using? Your speed and tapping are also impressive. Jealous of your talent. I'm tempted to liquidate my present guitar collection and replace them all with new stuff from AIO. It would go a long way towards solving my current set of frustrations and probably make me want to practice more. Thanks for the video and the info on what seems like a great company!
That was great! I really loved the clean sounds. And yes, AIO does a fantastic job of setting up these guitars. I have the Wolf guitar that I got from Max and it "plays like butter" just like you said. Awesome review dude!
Set up is HUGE! Learning how to set up a guitar or having a tech set up makes playing and learning so much better. Really cool how to have techs set them up. Killer playing and demo song Lester! 🤘
Glad to see this finally got to you! I know they do good work before sending out these guitars. It looks awesome and sounds great! Thanks for sharing Lester!
Max sent me. I had to check out this Les copy by AIO and I'm glad I did. Beautiful guitar and a lot of bang for the buck. Nice to know there's a company that is selling amazing guitars and are more concerned about the player than their profits. The major companies are out of control with prices and quality. It's a shame. Great song my man. You can definitely shred. I've seen you on Max's channel before.
Great video! I saw GuitarMax share your video. I’ve learned a lot about AIO from him as well. I also purchased an AIO Wolf 335 style in electric blue and it’s stunning. I’m looking forward to buying the new red flames Wolf Les Paul style soon. You and that LP style sounds fantastic. I’m a very big fan of my clean tones on my Wolf as well.
Terriffic in all respects! Wonderful playing likely came from hours, years of practice, thanks for that performance. Looking to get one of these, you didn't have to do much to sell it, just being able to play it as versatile as it is! New Sub and Thanks Max for the referral to this, 'Lester Mitchel's' Channel! Glad to be here!
Hi Lester, I saw your cameo on Guitar Max and was drawn to your playing and video reviews and decided to subscribe, I would love to get a couple of AIO models, however, I live in the UK and they don't sell them here and wont ship here either. I have only ever found a guitar store like Jin's and they is Richards guitars in the UK, he doe a full set-up on all guitars over £500 and considering the only guitars under £500 are the odd trade in it pretty much means everything that leaves the shop is perfect.
Nice arrangement Lester! I liked the change in modality at the outro. It was unexpected which is good! The guitar sounds decent even though the signal is heavily processed. What type of pickups does it have? I can’t assume that they are branded at the price point. Nice to see the manufacturer actually finish their instruments. I repair and setup guitars for a living in Canada and I get way too many incomplete offshore guitars. I often have to press and glue frets in on brand new guitars at that range. Especially “HB”, I haven’t had a good one yet in my shop. They always take a “beyond” a mere setup to get right. You generally get what you are paying for. I would argue that if the fretwork isn’t going to be good at your price point, you should raise the price point for some higher QC instead of flooding the market, and my bench, with garbage. Nice to see someone doing it better!
Hey thanks my friend! Appreciate you checking it out. I believe the pickups are "Destiny CNC wound" according to their website. I'm gonna be honest when I saw I've never heard of those! But I really like the bridge pickup. It's got a nice bite. Also, that's awesome that you do repairs/setups for a living man. Very cool stuff! It's crazy how many guitar companies from various price points send out unfinished guitars. I've seen so many sharp frets, crooked necks, among other horrors lol. It's definitely nice to see a safer option in this price range. Cheers!
I enjoyed your review and your rapport with the camera. Also, I have been super skeptical of these guitars, but the fluidity with which you play it, it just seems like a strong contender. I have been looking around the Marketplace at used Epiphone Goldtops, but the thought of this guitar really has me thinking.... Thanks! (great playing)
I bought this exact guitar and he's not kidding it's the best playing guitar I ever bought right out of the box. Loe action no buzzing excellent. It was even already in tune. I highly recommend you buy one.
Picked up a TC4 last week....neck/fret job is stunning. Guitar body and guts are clearly 'budget' quality...decent....but not killer QA...decent, no complaints. Dropped a set of Nocaster pups and BOOM...a truly nice playing and sounding Tele. Jin is great to work with and very responsive. Love that AIO also caters to lefties like me. Oh, amazing playing, dude!!
Lester, I have an AIO Strat blue that is reliced. I have 4 real Strats (American) and a couple of super Strats. I ordered mine with a case. It’s unbelievable. Just yesterday I was studying the beautiful neck and fret work. I compared it to my Am STD Strat and the neck and frets are way nicer.
I have owned an AIO Wolf LP and it was great. Just too heavy for me. The fact that you will get a full pro level set up is incredible. Killer playing as usual brother and great video!!
Yeah, I ordered it from Amazon and the shop called me. technician at all in one. I’m bummed because I didn’t hear my phone ringing. So, I'm late to the party on this one, but if anyone reads this and has the answer I woyld be grateful! What is the difference between these (SC series) and the Wolf series?
At first I thought that you just got an actual Gold top Les Paul😆 This guitar looks and sounds killer. And judging how hard you shred and how effortlessly you sweep on that guitar, it's definetely not a Gibson😂 awesome review🎸👍 greetings from Lotasticland
Agile makes some really good LP's in the same price range that also have ebony fretboards, solid maple cap and premium parts. Have you compared the AIO to an Agile? I think both are made in S. Korea.
Philip McKnight reviewed the same guitar. I was a little surprised by how many flaws he found. and they even spec the guitar out for him on his request. You would think they would send him a perfect guitar oh well.
That's interesting! Yeah I've not seen/heard anything like that. But mistakes can happen. I used to work for a music store 9+ years, and I've seen high end fenders and Gibson's come with defects from time to time.
To be fair though, I think I just watched the same video, and the defects were all paint overspray. A little on the side of the neck by the joint, a little on the bodys "waist", and I think there was a blemish in the neck binding. I dont remember him noting anything that wasn't purely cosmetic.
Hey dude! When I spoke with the owner, he asked me quite a few questions. I said to him "give me whatever your standard setup is". He replied "What action, strings, etc?" I said "whatever you prefer is fine". Having said that, the guitar has low action imo.
Nimbus...You nailed it you SOB 🍻 Like I keep saying, I love how your solo style reminds me of a Dragon Ball Nimbus ride 😎I have a tattoo of Son Goku on his Nimbus that just makes me smile almost every time I see it, as it reminds me of innocence, youth, adventure, wholesomeness 😁🤘
Lester, can you do me a HUGE favor? I don't have enough money to get this wrong, so I need your advice. I'm in the market for a Les Paul style guitar but I need to know if I purchase this, will there be any down sides that will cost me hundreds of dollars more that I don't have at the moment. I appreciate any input you are willing to share. thanks for the video and play through.
Hey dude! Thanks for reaching out to me. As far as downsides go I haven't seen any. However, some people complain that the pickups could be better. I personally think the pickups sound great already. Besides that, if you're looking for a les Paul style guitar without breaking the bank, this is a great option. If you call the shop tell them you saw my video and let them know any concerns you have before buying.
They do - the AIO Wolf series. Honestly, I don’t think there’s really any differences between the AIO Custom and Wolf lines other than the headstock; I own 3 of the Wolf series guitars and they’re all absolutely incredible instruments
