This is the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard, even surpassing Dr. Carter's choirs; the soprano who did the descant ending ALONE was just ethereal, glorious.... Thank you-now "it is well with my soul" !!!!
Over the years I have heard many different arrangements of this hymn. This is the most Beautiful arrangement I have ever heard. Sitting here in awe of its beauty. You ladies, director and pianist only one word WOW Praise God!
The choir was magnificent!!!!!!! The descant soprano soloist in the ending did the job of traditionally a soprano trio or whole 1st soprano section!!!!!!!!! Divine!!!!!!!
Awesome! Brought tears to my eyes. Another Dr. Carter arrangement. I remember when we learned it off of hand written copies!!! He would be so proud! May God Bless and Continue to Keep Us All!
Although this is a very popular hymn, I have NEVER been a huge fan of it. It just doesn't do anything for me. HOWEVER, this arrangement brings the hymn to life for me. The many suspensions that occur within the lines, and the soprano descants that happen starting around 3:13 or so. Beautiful, you all...Not sure who the arranger is, but he/she did a great job.
What an awesome arrangement! Hallelujah Lord!!!! 🙌🏽 ❤
Clearly, there are well-trained voices here. It is a real pleasure listening to them...thanks!
Miss you guys .Thank God for utube

Merritt Schumann used to say that a true soprano is a creature with resonance where her brains ought to be.
May the Lord make many more!

Is that Anika Simpson somewhere in there? She used to attend Oakwood College
Yes, she was the one doing the descant part.

Wow i am shocked
His name is Jah.
@Dorigandragon
You said "Oh My God!" That is using his name in vain...
1 dislike because he/she is deaf.
😂😂😂😂😂
The vocals are gorgeous, but the piano is sooo distracting, made me dizzy. Sorry, the piano ruined it for me.
organ should have been much louder ! ...is he afraid to play that pipe organ ???? thumbs down !
Why should it overpower the voices?
The organist is a "she."
