They often have do this Under political pressure or under their own selfishness and hostility .Especially during the Emergency in Punjab, thousands of people have lost their lives in fake encounters under false pretenses and later their bodies have not been found.A number of high-ranking police officers have also been implicated in thesw cases nd Chargesheets have been filed against some of them.some people got justice, some did not get it, many could not even reach the courts.It is not a matter of whether one gets justice or not but such cases tarnish the name of the entire police force. The police should stay away from such thing police officers should perform their duties impartially and independently.
