This is.... a bit of a rant... This comic was so great! I'm a huge Sonamy shipper, but... I don't know, the way they were portrayed was just a bit odd, that's all. I'm still like really new to this fandom, and I'd hardly be able to say that I'm really a part of it yet, but the characters aren't really like this, right? It feels like the only side of them that are being shown are the ones that the audience wants to see, which would explain why so many people like it... I'm just gonna go ahead and say it; Amy is a Mary Sue in this comic. The reason she gave up on Sonic at the start was so that the story could be set up in a way that would appeal to the audience, which, in this case, is her being pretty much oblivious to Sonic being jealous of Knuckles. As for Sonic, well... Tails tells him that he likes her, and he sort of just... accepts it? Like, wth?? If Tails told Sonic he could fly, would he jump off a cliff to test that theory? Tails can- and should- help Sonic realise his feelings for Amy if he has any, but Sonic shouldn't just *suddenly* start getting nervous around her. Also, I get that he was sort of meant to be played as protective over her, but he was possessive. He literally picked her up and took her away against her will. Twice. Honestly, I don't even know anymore. Is this how the characters would act in canon? Because all the other comments are saying how "in-character" they are. Or maybe I'm just taking this whole thing too seriously and I should stop writing essays in the comments of every single youtube video I watch-
Nah, you're right. I was also new to the sonic fandom when drawing this comic so I tried to keep some of their personalities, but at the same time I gave them some other traits. Sisi Rules This comic didn't take that much effort tbh because I didn't really know how to draw Sonic characters at the time😂 though I guess it took a month to finish it. I don't quite remember. And I actually ship Shadamy.. but Let's just say whatever fits with you the best is the answer. I made that scene for the reader to interpret it however they want. Though someone interpreted it as Shadow liking Sonic and Uh.. no definitely not that!😂
