I hope KH4 gets even half as much love and attention to detail that Rebirth did. I just finished 7Reb and it soured Kingdom Hearts as a franchise for me.
I saw on the internet that Missing Link has a fall release date for this year because Android users who signed up for the beta test starts in this current season (spring).

nomura did say he was aiming for a may release date , though that was before the spring delay happened . maybe this delay wont affect that window though , considering spring is imminent , and may is late spring//almost summer , but who really knows though

I remember with KH3 it was always "it's coming out next year" every year until it finally did. It's happening again with KH4. I told fans when it was announced that it's far off, and we weren't going to see it again for a while. Some agreed while most didn't and said 2024 release and constant updates. What happened to the updates and 2024 release? Now they're all saying 2025. People only care about hype and wishful thinking. And fans are hyped for mobile games instead of actual video games. Times have changed, and it's sad.

Namoura is focusing on Ff7 rebirth is a big mistake since KH3 was a disaster and rushed and it lack direction shows that Namoura was not putting his energy in KH3

The _Kingdom Hearts IV_ trailer that was shown at the 20th Anniversary event back in April of 2022 looks to be way advanced in development along with the fact voiceover was added (which usually are the final things during the development of a game), so I have a hunch that development for _Kingdom Hearts IV_ started since late 2019 to early-mid 2020 and with the KH3 assets being developed in UE4 and being moved to UE5, I don’t think that the development is being slowed down like what happened with KH3, so I think KHIV will definitely come out by early-mid 2025 (Q1/Q2 2025).
We will get Stranger of Paradise 2 sooner than Kingdom Hearts 4.

FF16, AND FF7 Rebirth both had demos available for people to play before the games came out, and considering that demos are a lot less common now a days it showed that things were possibly going well enough in development that they were able to give us a demo. Does KH4 need one? No, but it would show us that things went well enough in its development for it to happen, especially compared to KH3 with the engine change issues.
Imagine still getting part 3 of FF7R and we've still yet to see another KH4 announcement.

You make a good point here, however, there’s a key thing you neglect to mention: the final installment in the FF7 Remake trilogy. As it stands, ever since KH3 Remind, Nomura’s focus has been on this trilogy. Given how well Rebirth has sold so far, and the fact that very little focus has been on Kingdom Hearts since this trilogy started, with the only major releases being two mobile games and Melody of Memory (which was developed by indies zero). With these in mind, I doubt Nomura will pause development on FF7 Remake part 3 to focus on Kingdom Hearts 4.
He’s not the director of Rebirth, KH4 just hasn’t been focused on since Rebirth was the marketing priority. They did the same thing with Rebirth and avoided showing it much until 16 was out. We will most certainly get a KH4 trailer this year since there aren’t any other major SE titles coming aside from the alleged FF9 remake.
I’m not saying Nomura’s role isn’t important but he directed KH3 and VIIR at the same time, what makes you think he can’t directly KH4 and have creative input on FFVII?
Then there's the issue with Disney itself as of late. Focusing on FF7, ML and KH4 - in that order - will not only give SE time to develop, but also give Disney a very much needed pick up.
Nomura & Co benefit from having fewer projects to work with. It allows them greater focus.
Then there's KH. I can't state enough how KH3's mismanagement can't happen again.

I am happy to say Square is back. FF16 and Rebirth are nothing short of amazing. I think KH4 is on trajectory for the same path.

KH4 Hype train starts later this year, consistent trailers, leading to a Fall 2025 release or early 2026. Enough time to build hype and learn about the game but not too long. Also Missing Link this year.
