    Hello Ms.Yari !! I take my test tomorrow !! So my instructors used to teach us to clean up,disinfect,sanitize, and keep our bag on table before raising our hands and THEN disposing of the bag into our kit. The way you do it in the videos, you put your bag into your kit BEFORE raising your hand. Which is the proper way ? 🥺

    • @GlamAndBeyond
      @GlamAndBeyond  12 днів тому

      Nothing should be on the table before raising hand, everyone teaches different not to say one is right and one is wrong but the way you see me doing everything in the videos with minor changes is what our students are trained to do.

    Hello Yary...could you please tell me where you purchased your shortie haircutting cape and shortie chemical cape? It seems more practical to use them instead of the standard capes that are way too long, big and bulky to use for the state board practical in my opinion.
    And thank you so much for all the videos that you make, you explain and demonstrate things so well, which helps those of us who haven't taken the state board practical to feel more confident and to successfully pass.

    Hi, question on draping from previous haircut service. After haircut, Moving on to the perm, Can you continue to use that same cape for the rest of the following services by replacing the neck strip with towel cape towel.. or would you say have a new cape for each bag ?

    • @GlamAndBeyond
      @GlamAndBeyond  10 місяців тому +1

      Our students use the same cape for facial and waxing.
      They than change the cape into a Haircutting cape with neck strip for the haircut section.
      Followed by changing into new towel cape towel for the chemical service, permanent wave , blowdry etc. For those sections they only change the top towel, but keep the same towel that’s underneath and the cape. Hope that helps. Also when in doubt you can change capes for each section if you prefer. Some students use disposable capes , it’s really up to you, as long as you are draping and making sure nothing is soiled.

    Also, we were taught never to put combs back down or clips… is this necessary? We were taught to leave clips on head during sections and if we put it down then we have to put it in the trash because it’ll be contaminated
